Really not a fan of clubbing, will definitely go out freshers week but past that I'm gonna look more towards joining some societies, as well as the fact I'm gonna be surviving on literally no money all year

I feel exacty the same! Have been somewhat worried that I'd be the only one who feels like this due to what I've seen elsewhere! Am glad there are like minded people though I'm doing the Computer animation arts course at BU and have been allocated to the Lyme Regis halls (not sure which flat number yet though). It would be definitely good to get together with like minded people in freshers week and go to the cinema or something!

I like to drink and have fun, but my problem is, I really don't like dancing. I just feel akward doing it, haha. I'd much rather be at a pub, or at a home party. But I'll bet there are some places in Bournemouth I can enjoy drinking and not feeling obliged to dance.

Seeing as we all seem to be in the same situation maybe we should go to something like these as a group? Would be a great way of getting to know new people!

Cant wait to go Bournmouth. Don't worry you won't be the only one. Im up for clubbing i won't be planning to do it every night though, as ill have work! Let alone Uni Work , theres also more to socialising than drink and it does not take pirority

I'm exactly the same I love just chilling and going to the cinema, doesn't mean I won't go out a lot during freshers cause it's not something you'll ever experience every day

As long as i can have a good time i don't mind whether it's out clubbing or a quiet night in a good balance is goood!

I created a page, allowing anyone to follow without moderation. Hopefully I'll get time to speak with the SUBU people and they can promote it a bit. As I am sure there are many others who are coming or already at Bournemouth with similar ideas as us but are not members of TSR.

Your group allows us to talk easier than what TSR offers. Properly better than the page I setup as it is a bit more restricted; I guess you would be looking to make a few closer friends on your arrival instead of just people to just socialise with.

Should just follow both for the meantime.

hey dont worry youll get plenty of people who think the same, i was the same last year, and it turns out i went out clubbing stuff more than i expected and it was good, and when you dont want to theres plenty of other stuff to do.
Im also doing your course :P (second year) you will be laughing come the end of the year when all the assignments are coming in, living at student village means your 3 mins away from the labs...and believe me, you will be living in the labs soon enough

To be completely honest, I'm starting to lose any want or interest in going to Bournemouth due to the sheer numbers of people who're interested in going completely off their minds every night. No offence to you guys who do enjoy it but I just don't enjoy it or being around it. I also don't like clubs, yay I'm just buckets of fun but at this rate I won't even be coming anyway.

dude you cant let that stop you going to uni... it happens at every single uni. You should be grateful instead that the beach is right in front of you, you dont get that at every uni. Many people just hang out at the beach in the summer
