Citi London IBD recruitment done. Offered to have application transferred for consideration for 6 month off cycle internship.
Called them to find out what happened and apparently summer interns took all the spots. Seems to be the same case for all banks this year

Yes! I keep thinking, 'I go to a good uni, I'm doing a good degree, why is this so hard!?'

Know exactly what you mean. The really annoying thing for me is that I'm getting to first round interviews but not getting through after that. And of the four post-interview rejections I have received, not one have given me feedback, even after I'd asked for it.

It's now really starting to dent my confidence, hopefully once I am successful once I'll find that magic formula and things will start going better for me.

what uni did u go to, is it one where spies are bred...

keep ur head up, life in fast lane aint the way to go, apparently this is a time of great spiritual awakening ie 2012... but then again people fail to realise that consciousness transcends time, and why would anything happen in 2012? its just all fear based mind control. stay positive, and try to manifest as much positivity on yo life

    peace.

Seems consulting is pretty tough this year. Has anyone got a plan b?! I haven't yet, but think I'm gonna need one...
For the last few years. My starter group was ages 23-25 (I'm 24), rather than 21-23 fresh grads.

Recruiters can afford to pick people with 1-2 years post uni experience

nope nothing- don't even know of anyone that has been contacted by them, be it for interviews or rejections. Someone said they spoke to HR a week or so ago and that they were told that GS would let people know within the next few weeks...
