When I went last year a lot of people had guests with them. I didn't because I am from Liverpool it was easy for me to get there and I didn't really need anyone with me. From talking to people it seemed like most people had took their parents just so they could get a lift up instead of getting trains and others had pushy parents who insisted they went.

There is really nothing for guests to do. There are talks in the morning about the uni and the course that guest can go to and then in the afternoon you go to the x ray rooms in groups and get to practice positioning each other and using the machine and then you talk to some current students about the course and uni and their experiences. Guests aren't allowed to the x ray suites because there is not enough room and they were send to a room with tea and coffee making facilities to wait for 3 hours or they were allowed to wander around Liverpool and told to come back at 3pm.

Also I went smart casual, jeans with a nice top, some people were in fully suits but a lot of people were in jeans and t shirts. It was really informal, I was unsure about what to wear so I went in the middle which was fine.

I'm applying for Diagnostic Radiography as well. I've already had some work experience, but have some more lined up for December. I'm so excited and a little bit nervous about what the next few months will bring! Having read through last years thread, it seems a lot of my choices don't make offers until February time! I think it is, its the one I wanted and one which I have an offer for, I will probs firm Liverpool and insure Cumbria (assuming I get an offer that is)

My mum taking me in her car so i dont have to worry about getting the train,
so it think my mum is going to come in the morning and then leave after that

I have haven't heard any thing from salford yet either But hopefuly i they are just giving offers later than the other uni's

I'm a bit down as Liverpool rejected me as I didn't realise a form had to be completed from work experience, don't know whether I should email them.... I'm so passionate for the subject I just really want to ask them if I can send it and then they reconsider.

Not really. Liverpool doesn't even interview like everyone else does. You can't expect them to accept anyone without any proof of experience in an x-ray department...

yeah I know, I do have proof though. I have a letter from the first ever work experience placement that I attended saying that I'd be suitable blah blah... I haven't heard anything from them yet anyway.

In that case why not contact the admissions tutor and let her know that you can send in a report from the clinical tutor for your work experience?
