Hi, anyone else going to Teesside? UCAS informed me of their offer in Feb but since then I've not heard anything or been sent anything regarding a CRB or the bursary or anything whatsoever! Starting to get a little worried..
Im pretty much in the same posish, but im thinking they wont have sent me anything because i havent actually accepted yet haha
still waiting for my fifth choice to reply, darrn hertfordshire!

i do have a form sort of thing for a bursary that i think they were meant to take at the interview but they didnt? :/ and its hardly a form, it asked for my name, ucas number and email address i think then said that they would do the rest?
ohh i dont know, i just hope itl be cleared up once i accept

You won't receive anything until you accept an offer. I accepted an unconditional offer about a month ago and still haven't received anything so don't worry. I rang up my chosen uni and they said I won't receive anything until at least May, so it's just a matter of waiting.

I'm going to UCS too well subject to getting the grades and passing CRB check
SAME! I just hope Chemistry doesn't hold me back, as... well, lets just say it isn't my forté
Do you know when UCS are going to send us a letter to indicat when we must send sig up for the NHS bursary etc and the questionairre's?
Also, is it just me or is the student finance sum really really low. I mean I understand we have chosen to do a funded course, but nonetheless, we still have to pay for secondary accommodation (if needed) which can cost roughly £200 a month, and baring in mind we are on placement AT LEAST 20 weeks annually, it can end up costing over £800. And then a bus pass in Ipswich costs about £380. My whole loan will be gone on this and books alone!

well youve heard different to me on the placement front then. i was advised by other students that Addenbrooks wasnt that great a place to do your training. which is weird as Addenbrooks is well known for its treatments/specialist care.

but wow on choosing UCS. i thought portsmouth was top choice with most students.

    See you in September too

    B
Well my mum works at Ipswich hospital and when she told her colleagues my choices they said that Addenbrookes is would be brilliant. Also my nan had radiotherapy there, and altough it's not our course, her treatment was excellent and she had the best possible care. It is a well known hospital and even my family in Holland have heard of it, saying it's a brilliant choice. I think it all comes down to the person and where they feel most comfortable.
Which univeristy did you put as your second choice?

if you go back to page 84. Berlingo posted about how you can register on nhs bursaries website, you don't have to wait for ucs to contact you. i have tried it but the form is so long so am taking my time to fill it out in phases.
    good luck with it
i don't think we'll hear anything from ucs as yet, because it seems they are still doing interviews
