Re: Lloyds Scholars SchemeI've booked mine for next week, and I'd also appreciate any pointers too please. Thanks guys(Original post by abbycarroll94)
I've applied and I've booked my telephone interview for monday. I've never done one before, can anyone tell me if it's academic questions, or more just general CV and personality stuff? I'm so nervous haha

Re: Lloyds Scholars Scheme
Hi,
Yes I did the telephone interview and got through. Dont worry at all, I did it in a car; parked at a service station on the way from Alton Towers! Long story, but anyway, you dont really need any help to be honest coz most of it is instinctual
I would advise you to look through your personal statement and research on the Lloyds site.
I hope you guys are happy that I edited it

Re: Lloyds Scholars Scheme
Concerned mother here.
In the interests of fairness to all isn't it best not to reveal any details of the phone interview on the forum?
My daughter had the interview without prior knowledge and others will have access to some information she didn't have - potentially putting them at an unfair advantage. I do hope Lloyds monitor this site and vary their questions.
Good luck and a level playing field to all!!! -
Re: Lloyds Scholars SchemeResearch is crucial part of preparing for any interview. One should never be going into an interview not knowing what kind of questions will be asked - and that's all that one can gain from hearing about other's experiences, as they only give indication of what kind of questions will be asked, as they are varied. Thus everyone should do some google'ing or bing'ing before going in to learn as much about the company, the process, and the interview as one can. The employers expect it.(Original post by isobelanne)

Re: Lloyds Scholars SchemePlease edit your comment giving details of the questions asked in the Lloyds Scholars phone interview and delete said information.(Original post by shahnila4ever)
...
It gives an unfair advantage to those who have yet to apply and is unfair to those who have passed onto the assessmet center (ergo passed the interview) with no idea of what to expect.
Also, it's in your best interest to do so, as you are actually being unfair to yourself too.
As for what to wear, I have no idea, and need help in that department too! Which AC are you going to?
p.s. I didn't mean to have a go at you, but I'm just saying what most people who have passed through to the ACs are thinking (and one has already mentioned..)Last edited by SomeoneIveNeverMet; 24-07-2012 at 16:07. -
Re: Lloyds Scholars SchemeAgain I'm just backing up SomeoneIveNeverMet, it's unfair that you're telling everyone what kind of questions come up. They said at the beginning that they will be using similar questions for everyone. Please can you delete or edit to remove the information, thank you(Original post by shahnila4ever)

Re: Lloyds Scholars Scheme
So i got through the phone interview about a week ago and just confirmed the assessment centre at Sheffield on the 29/08. Anyone else booked on this date? Also does anyone have any idea of how many places are available for bristol uni? and a general idea of how many people have been invited to these assessment centres?
