C1 Maths, WJEC 24/05/10

Hi,

Lots of talk about Edexcel C1, but did anyone do WJEC?

What did everyone think?

Hey.. i did my resit of WJEC Core 1 in January. I thought it was an OK paper lol, i suppose it could've been worse. What was your impression?

Anyone else got upcoming exams with WJEC?

I'm doing: C2, M1, S1, FP1 (in date order).

C2 is easy so I'm not worried.
M1 is not so bad but WJEC are unpredictable with their questions.
S1 is the same, their questions can sometimes be badly worded.
FP1 is quite hard but I'm aiming for a B/C.
your thoughts??

HARD. The hardest C1 I've done. I know I lost like 15 marks already! Didn't even attempt the 7 marker! :confused: :mad: :woo:
i dont think that was the answer to the remainder question, because that was one of the only ones i could actually do. :/

f(X) = f(0.5)

so you have to use 1/2 as x, this left you with some fractions with denominators of 2, 4, 8. So you had to rearrgange them so they were all over 4, this left you with -25/4.

the one with the remainder, you had to find the remainder when the polynomial was divided by (2x-1).

surely that would only be on C2
this wasnt the edexcel c1 paper.

I've just taken a look at the paper, although I didn't sit it. I had 99% in the C1 exam in January, and this looked no more difficult...
i had a C 64 in January.. this time i'll have around 50!
It was absoultuely solid! In january i thought that was hard enough but this time OMG
