Doo Das, or Rush. Cloud 9 on St. Stephens Road is pretty good too. Most of the hairdressers give out recommendation vouchers for a discount so if you can get hold of one of these then it's cheaper.

OMG gents cutting is sooo expensive!

Any good shop for gents?

Or should i ask my "future" room-mates to cut my hair :colondollar:
I used to go to Rush, liked what they did but it is kinda pricey if you're not into all this fancy hair do stuff.
Fella on Northgate is good for men and only a tenner

If you're at a loss walk down Northgate and you'll find about 20 hairdressers

I'll throw in another suggestion - Stone Hairdressing (http://www.stonehairdressing.co.uk/canterbury.html)

I've been with them since freshers and they do really good rates for students, it's pretty much in the same league as T&G/Rush (expect head massages, drinks on arrival, GQ/Cosmo/FHM/Esquire to read whilst you're waiting etc etc.)

I used to live just round the corner from Cloud 9 at St. Stephens. Never been but it looks nice and their prices are reasonable and I've heard good things. Better if you don't want to go to a huge town centre hairdresser where they're going to charge you a bomb to make you look like some sort of modern art sculpture.

Do any of these hairdressers give recommendations? As in what type of a hair cut for the type of face/head shape, etc? I've got **** hair... lol

If you're a girl then there're millions of salons (all quite expensive though), however if you are a boy, go for Fella, which is a small barbers near Lanfranc House which is £7 a pop.

Went to Stone but really didn't like it! - One side was longer than the other! Though that might just be a one off bad experience.

I like going to Caraccios (http://www.caraccioshairandbeauty.co.uk/) - They do a student offer of £20 for a wet cut and £25 for a cut and blow dry - plus, it's very near Canterbury West Station! I've had my hair cut there a few times now plus had it dyed.
I have a question:

Does anyone know of salons that do Afro hair? I have this type of hair, and I know in London they have plenty of options. I'm worried they may not have this kind of option in Canterbury. If anyone knows which salons do this type of hair, I'd gladly appreciate it!

Yes I think there's one in this street called Northgate, near this Chinese restaurant called Supernoodles - however, my friend who has an afro gets his cut back in London.
