Re: The "What's that song" thread - Mk II
Hi, I know this might be a vague but I just heard a song and can't find it anywhere...
It's an indie rock tune, slow-paced song, singer has a fairly dull, soft voice.
The main line of the song (there might just be one line in the whole song) starts with 'I/I'll/I'm' then there's a short word which I think is 'not' but could be 'at' or something similar, then a word with the sound 'oh' in it, possibly 'home', 'hold', 'going' (in an american accent) and then the word 'you' comes slightly later in the line.
This line is repeated loads of times, with a quite catchy drum/ bass guitar riff (again slow-paced, soft) in between each repetition.
So it's something like:
'I'll/I'm/I not/at hold/going/home, I'll not ho-oh-oh-ld, ho-oh-oh-old ... ... you' (drum/ bass guitar)
The first bit is 3 words, then the same 3 words are repeated with the last having an extended 'oh', then the last 'oh' word comes again with an added few words which include the word 'you'.
I think it could be fairly famous, I've heard it elsewhere too, the exact words are not very clear, but if anyone has any ideas I'd be very, very grateful. -
Re: The "What's that song" thread - Mk IIWhere did you hear it? Radio station or some tv commercial?(Original post by deej3005)
Hey, that's not the voice I heard, but the song is similar in lots of ways (slow-paced, soft guitar riff, dull singing voice, it was a really good song too).
The song I heard is probably most recognisable by the one repeated line, but thanks. -
Re: The "What's that song" thread - Mk III haven't helped have I haha but I am glad you found it! Going to go check it out now(Original post by deej3005)
Found it! It was Always Like This-Bombay Bicycle Club.
The main line was 'I'm not whole, I'm not whole, oh you waste it all'. Thanks so much for the help!

Re: The "What's that song" thread - Mk II
I heard a song playing in the airport in america recently and I was too slow with my Shazam :P
It's a kind of a soft rock song, similar to snow patrol or coldplay and the only lyrics i could get were something along the lines of "from the place that i come from/ call home" I couldnt quite tell but there was a line similar to that in the chorus. I'm pretty sure the band or person whos singing it is american though.
I know there really isn't much info there but hope someone can help, thanks

Re: Tune ID from Ministry of Sound compilation CD ?(Original post by Fluxbox)
Hi !
Could someone kindly ID this tune for me. I think it is from an old MOS compilation CD pre-2008. The tune I'm after starts at 0:16 into the video and ends at 2:58.
TIA. -

Re: The "What's that song" thread - Mk II
Hey guys.
I heard a song on the Channel4/Film 4 advert for their Avatar movie showing. It was on the short adverts that advertise upcoming programs. It was a soft song with lots of light sounds and a womens voice. Any help would be much appreciated as its really bugging me.
Thanks!
