Nope, haven't even got all my acknowledgements yet! Not that it matters, apparently there's people who have had interview invites and no acknowledgements for other medschools! Have you?Last edited by Dr.Galaxy99; 03-11-2011 at 22:04. -

Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012No they won't. They'll need to have scored a reasonably large proportion of applications before they can set a UKCAT cut-off. Remember, it's only those applications that score highly enough for their PS and reference that get ranked by UKCAT - you could have a UKCAT of 750, but if your PS score isn't high enough you'll still get rejected.(Original post by rozca)
they probably know what the cut off is now!! -
Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012yeah i think you're right.(Original post by Panda89)

Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012They could have been looking at UCAS stuff during the past few weeks, meaning they could use the UKCAT scores as soon as they came in.(Original post by theatrical)

Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012They will have marked a batch of applications and will use that as the reference batch to set the cut-offs. They'll be marking forms for the next few months - it's the way they've always done it, even before the UKCAT.(Original post by Steerforth)

The first interview invites always seem to go out from mid-November. -

is anyone else still waiting for an acknowledgement from mancs?
-
Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012It probably went to your junk email folder or got lost during sending - the acknowledgements are generated automatically, so you can't get forgotten.(Original post by ob.is.a.bit.good)

Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012Has anyone had an acknowledgement yet???(Original post by islanders)
still waiting for my acknowledgement -
Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012Seems like the majority of the applicants haven't received one yet. I guess we can only hope that "no news is good news" is true.(Original post by samnwood)
Has anyone had an acknowledgement yet??? -
Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012Maybe, I am a reapplicant, but I didn't apply to Manchester last year. I received acknowledgements from all choices earlier than this last year.(Original post by Panda89)

Stay relaxed.......the wait has just begun. -
Re: Manchester Medicine Applicants 2012
i received a confirmation a couple of weeks ago, but still nervously waiting! they have received the UKCAT results slightly later than usual (10th of november) due to some mishaps with UKCAT. from next week people who do not meet UKCAT minimum cut-off (probably me lol) will be rejected. if you haven't been rejected so far, it probably means your academics are good!
