Are you doing any of the awards? I've done my silver but couldn't afford to do gold because it was an expedition in morocco!

Yup I'm doing my Gold atm... and Chairing the DofE group next year! You should definitely join us; its not that expensive (like ~£200 over the year for everything incl. 3 trips) and we do fundraising to lower the cost too! Definitely one of the best experiences of my life and would recommend it !!

Unbelievably I've just read all 58 pages.

I've been offered an unconditional for Social Work and Applied Social Studies. Strongly considering firming it!

    Need a lie down now!

How long ago can the volunteering be? I can remember when I was applying for my Bronze (never did an expedition, but at least I didn't have to pay) that my WO said that we could use volunteering from a while (6 months?) ago.

Also, who decided to call the maths society BUMS? So glad the stash is Team Math instead of having 'BUMS' splattered on it.

You can backdate 3 months is what we've been told. Plenty of opportunities to volunteer afresh here though; you'll be surprised at how many things you can get involved with!

and BUMS has always been BUMS as far as I know :P (Bath University Maths Society in case anyones wondering). Personally I reckon its an awesome name; they have some pretty awesome socials too! (P.S. get a t-shirt early otherwise you'll regret it! - they run out quick!)

My dad loved the fact they named it BUMS - I think he was secretly glad I chose Bath simply because of this hahaha
