After weeks of grinding it out, I've finally managed to get all the assault rifles, sub machine guns and the shotguns to gold. Painful work indeed. Not prestiging didn't help either, as I missed out on extra challenges which would''ve earned me XP to get the guns gold sooner.

Turns out some of the guns aren't as bad as I thought, namely the CM901 and the AK47. I would never have thought about using the PM9, but it's half decent when you hipfire with it. I struggled a lot with the M16, my accuracy isn't great, so I had a tough time locking onto targets. By far the most inconsistent and frustrating gun to use is the Model, you just never know if it's going to be a hitmarker or a kill.

Anyway, I've just got all of the LMGs and snipers to get to gold now, but I rarely used them. I've got about 20 kills between the LMG's and about 100 kills with the snipers Should take me a few weeks, by which time I better be an expert quickscoper
Good luck with that, you'll probably need it.

The new playlist is pretty disappointing, 10 man FFA with MW3 spawns :facepalm2:

Might play in a little bit. Hopefully I'll find a lobby full of UK based players. When there's about half of them from France and Germany I end up being the highest scoring UK based player...

Heard they have changed their matchmaking tweak so that areas where there are fewer MW3 players get paired to those in higher areas. I have a feeling this is a marketing tool to overly favour people from countries like France to get them to buy more copies of the game. I assume the game has fewer sales in France than in the UK, given that their elite force, GIGN, has a much lower status in the game than our SAS who have been in every single one. Players from Sweden and the UK really shouldn't come across many players from France, Spain, Italy and Germany. I get the odd token foreigner in Black Ops but not to the extent of MW3.

Has anyone else used the L86 LSW with RDS/Suppressor? I'm about Level 50 atm with that as 2 classes (different pointstreaks), gun level 31, gold camo, with my other 4 classes each at level 1

What's the quickest way to level up your weapons? My weapon levels seem to be going up very slowly even though I'm getting quite a few kills in matches, albeit ~ 10% of them are now by claymores. I'm after extended magazines. :teeth: Think I'll unlock Scavenger Pro since Blind Eye Pro is a bit silly at the beginning of matches.

I've been using that recently with the same setup. Nearly got a MOAB with it 3 times, dying twice on a 21 killstreak and once on 23. Not a bad gun at all.

Play Free For All using specialist. 30 gun kills on an average 7 minute match and you could get more than 200 kills an hour :sogood: It takes about 1000 kills to get it to gold.

Cheers. I remember playing FFA on Sub-base on MW2 and wasn't really a fan of it. But I have a portable radar and SitRep Pro so may be I can soundwhore the map to get some easy kills. Just think it's taking me longer with the MP7 than with the UMP45. Thermal scope for the MK14 would be interesting on Outpost. Might mean I might not have to bother with snipers.

They even make gun game and one in the chamber boring. Can IW get anything right?

I know it's meant to be a rhetorical question but the answer is no.

Looks like I missed you. I'll change my privacy settings back so you should see me online. Accidentally had my online status blocked to everyone instead of everyone or just friends. I changed it when I was busy levelling up my weapons to save constant updates to my friends that I keep dashboarding from joining games already midway that are unrecoverable. Would be good to get a game going with mau5 if he's up for it and may be the elusive others too. Had some team mates that seemed to enjoy facepalm moments too much a few days ago so it'd be good to get rid of those.

Nah, this thread is just for discussion about what it would be like if people did play it. Use your imagination and join in.

The way your statement and his joke went down would suggest yours was way lower

Not really, we're in a Call of Duty thread, therefore his 'joke' about my comment was going to be liked. Typical Call of Duty gamers, aren't very bright  although you did pay for a game which is exactly the same as the one before lol

People here are far from typical Call of Duty gamers. If we have fun playing the game, I don't see why we can't buy it? If you don't like the game stay away from it. It's that simple. There's no need to force your views on someone else because you have a different interest.
