I know. Basically if I shoot first, even at close quarters, with opponents I've always won so long as the shot was on target to begin with. Coupled with grip meant I'd down a few snipers under some cover with a few bullets, bit like the Type 95 in MW3. I do like people trying to hide behind cars when they see me shooting at them. All I'm going to do is shoot the car, blow it up, and take them out that way.

Apparently the Javelin has been nerfed. Oh, a major tool to use against spawn campers gets done over.

Edit: I just can't work out a reason why I'd use the M60E4 in MW3 as I can with the MK46 and the L86. In COD4 all three LMGs all have their uses I feel. I used the RPD as a makeshift assault rifle, the M249 for closer ranged shooting and the M60E4 to shoot down choppers.

Hmm if anyone still asks about hacked lobbies in COD4 I'll give an update and say they're around in abundance. One of my last few games I had a guy floating about 50m high in the middle of Ambush overlooking B flag. Was nice to kill him with the M60E4, thought it was a glitch, but after shooting him and gladly watch his corpse fall less than half the speed as would normally happen, he was up there again. Obviously it takes too much effort to kill people on foot, so quickscoping while in mid-air is required.

Had a good game on WaW yesterday on Banzai and it wasn't a hacked lobby. Don't get much ammo on the light gunner class though. Should pick up weapons more often since they're going to be better anyway and I won't die because I'm reloading or ran out of ammo myself.

I'll be on MW2 for parts now that I have changed NAT settings to Open. Apparently, Moderate is best for MW3 because it's lag compensation whereas COD4, WaW and MW2 is host advantage so NAT type Open is better. Had so many games where I was on two bars in COD4, then competing against quickscopers, noobtubers and the lag is just "epic". Had matches where there was a delay of over 4 seconds when hitting X to respawn.

It got fixed about 8pm I think. I did notice every British person on my list wasn't online either. Got a new pair of X41s so I'm hoping these are better to communicate with and better for sound. I accidentally sat on my other headset so the ear cup got fractured off from the rest so the right ear cup wasn't on fully.

Taking a break for a bit but I should be online later. I don't know why but I seem to turn to **** between 5-7pm every day. May be I need some caffeine - another hot chocolate is in order then.

At least since prestigeing I know what to spend my COD points on now.

Best sniper rifles please? Or is it the MSR hands down? Just used it on Interchange and had a good game since I unlocked Marksman Pro only a while back. Would always run the specialist strike package using snipers though, or at least non-crate awarded assault killstreaks. And I have discovered how awesome the Striker can be on Dome, providing I get no stupid hitmarkers. Will wear gold camo on the L86 when I've finally unlocked it. Haven't seen a gold L86 in any of the games I've been in. Using the speed proficiency with grip sure is fun for running and gunning.

Depends. Wouldn't bother about the DLC on MW3 though. There aren't many maps I particularly liked and I don't really use Face Off or Spec Ops, though I do appreciate trying something different with Spec Ops at least. I'll be getting Blops 2 by the looks of it. And Treyarch's editions of COD I appear to favour in many areas over Infinity Ward. I played on COD4 and the prevalence of quickscopers did my head in so I never bother playing it any more, especially as I'm typically on two bars for "signal".

You need to download it whilst in dashboard mode. I downloaded it around 9am today since that's when I finish work so may be something has been up with it since. Would be interesting to see if they have made token changes to the map, since they did that with Strike from COD4 to MW2 by placing a wall where I usually patrol during the start of a game. Basically heading from A flag to C flag around the outskirts...

Yep, it was just a case of having to dashboard. I had a few games but it didn't come up, I'll try and get on tomorrow and hopefully it will then. Will be weird to play without noobtubes flying down the corridor, you'll probably still get that one guy who tries to camp in the plane though.

Let me know how Terminal plays. I've played it in MW2, it wasn't my favourite map but it wasn't my least favourite either. Never understood why it was popular though. I suppose a camper in the plane is looking to hijack crate awards. If so may be I'd be tempted to use support killstreak and lure them into opening a booby trapped crate, especially as a winning killcam for the lulz.

Oh, what setup do you use for the MSR? Seen a video of yours and wondering how you do it. I'm levelling mine up soon and have Sleight of Hand, Quickdraw and Marksman (all pro) with a specialist strike package of SitRep, Scavenger, Blind Eye (all pro). The Dragunov got a buff so I might try that as well but I can see it taking an age unlocking stability proficiency just for the MSR let alone the Dragunov too. Unless I use them in every single game, which is a bit silly. Plus I'll be wearing the gold camo on the L86 when I eventually get it as I've never been in a match with a gold one before.

Like FIFA then. I'd play on COD4 again if I could have nearly a full lobby of UK based players but it's full of Yanks and Mexicans, laggy as anything, full of quickscopers, and the hacked lobbies waste too much of my time. Downloaded Terminal yesterday. I loved it in MW2, so fast and furious and suitable for every type of player, just have to be in the right place on the map. Getting the AC130 or chopper gunner on Terminal those were they days

I'm still rubbish with using the AC-130 in MW3 at least. I've never earned it on maps with plenty of open space, like Village and Interchange though. Think I'll choose the Pave Low instead since it doesn't take me out of the game, even though it is more easily brought down. Maps like Dome allow the Pave Low to rip opponents to shreds though.

Yeah I will do. I quite liked terminal, most of the maps were pretty good on MW2 though. The large snow one was the only one I can remember being really bad.

For all snipers I always run quickdraw, extended mags and speed. Usually with Sleight of hand and Steady Aim as well, but any from the 1st and 3rd tier are decent choices. I wouldn't bother with the Dragunov though, the pre patched version anyway was probably the worst gun on the game.

You mean Derail? That was one of the greatest maps. I used to be a dick though and sit in the main building with a ACR and a SPAS so easy to get the kill streaks going, that or sit in the warehouse with the sniper and pick people off.

My all time best game was on Wasteland, got the chopper gunner and spawn trapped the other team in the far corner where the helicopter was. It was genocide

Cheers. I might run a near-duplicate class with SitRep Pro as tier 3. I run specialist with snipers so then I could perhaps put Marksman Pro as a pointstreak. I swear I increase my chances of a hitmarker when holding breath.

Heh. And that was the gun that got me the two longest snipes I've ever had in the whole game in Bakaara. Both of which were probably, if not more than, half the length of the map. I've seen one golden Dragunov in a game where I was spectating so I might see how it feels. It just had too much recoil for me so I was always crouching or prone with it. I now have Range proficiency with the Striker so I might as well try another weapon.

I used the chopper gunner in Black Ops on Jungle. Needless to say it was devastating. That's why I tried getting Ghost Pro a while ago but I never unlocked the Strela-3 in time before the XP promotion finished.
