Concern over current nuclear activity in Iran.

The UK would like to express deep concern over the current nuclear activity in Iran.

We condemn Iran resuming its nuclear activity, and we are concerned with the new legilation passed in the Iranian Parliament that restricts the rights of UN inspectors to make visits to the nuclear sites.

We will be meeting with other European officials tomorrow, and we would like to see this referred to the Security Council ASAP.

Israel agrees with the UK in condemning Iran's nuclear activities. They are a world threat and we hope that countries will not have to resort to more drastic measures to put a halt to Iran's activities.
The Palestinian observer shall not pretend to speak for the delegation of Iran. However, we fully question the credibility of any threat to other nations with which many have slandered Iran. Palestine, for one, feels secure even in the face of current nuclear activity, and seriously doubts Iran is any threat to international security.

Finally, we would like to call attention to the national soveriengty guaranteed to Iran by the first and foremost guiding principle of the United Nations, as present in Article 2 of the UN Charter.

Micronesia would like to remind the observer of recent threats made by the Iranian President in regards to Israel.

The representative for KSA feels that the mess in Iraq should be dealt with before any further military campaigns are contemplated.

At the same time we feel it would be in the best interests of Iran and firmly encourage them to comply with any UN decisions.

They have since clarified these so-called "threats".

I would like to remind all that individuals are allowed to hold their own opinions, regardless of how radical they may be or how we might disagree with them. What is important is that governments do not act on those opinions that oppose the UN Charter and International Law, and Iran has already shown they have no intention to.

Ireland would like to agree with the Uk representativ statements and appeal to the Iranian Presidency that they realise such moves are counterproductive when trying to gain International links. The Iranian Presidency have a habit of doing or saying the right thing to gain recognition for the for wrong reasons and that any sanctions that may come about as a cause of de-sealing Nuclear facilities are are its own fault.

Argentina feels a country should not be impeded against the developement of advanced nuclear research, especially, according to Iran, if it is to be used as a nuclear fuel energy for its civillians.

The real problem and what is causing unrest in the region is the fact that a neighbouring country is allowed to have hundreds of nuclear warheads, when it's not even legally suppose to have such a program, while another is being challenged to even have a nuclear research program.

the KSA is intrigued and would like Argentina to provide evidence that Israel's stockpile is in fact illegal and if so, by what law?

The UK, along with our European counterparts in France and Germany, has just minutes ago called for an emergency session of the UN's nuclear watchdog.

We would like this issue to be referred to the Security Council and have sactions placed down on Iran, who have, as our German counterpart Mr. Steinmeier has said, "repeatedly tested" EU confidence.

The Netherlands agrees with the Argentinian delegation. Iran should not be impeded from developing Nuclear power.
If a representative of the Iranian military would like to speak to our trade minister, some mutually rewarding deals relating to weapon systems could be arranged.

Brazil also agrees with Argentina, if other countries have nuclear weapons why aren't we going after them, while Iran is onlty in the process?

Nuclear weapons, in this delegates own opinion will be the cause of world change, most likely for the bad, during the next 100 years, they are far too powerful.

Let's do this a step at a time. Israel is one of a few nations who have not signed The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (Iran has signed it) and they have not denied or neither confirmed they have a nuclear program. In an ideal world and by the sound of it, they should not have nuclear weapons at all but that's not the case. Vital information from Israeli ex-nuclear technician Mordechai Vanunu (freed after 18 years last year for revealing the illegal nuclear program in Israel) and satellites images which show weapon bunkers, mobile missile launchers, and launch sites not only proves they have nuclear weapons and have actually performed tests.

I am not only disputing their warhead stockpile is illegal but so is their nculear program, since they haven't acknowledge they have such a thing. But the most disturbing fact is nobody knows the exact amount of nuclear weapons they posses. International defence agencies say around 200-400 but there could be more since they will not allow IAEA inspectors to investigate while Iran has cooperated with the inspectors.

in light of this, the KSa calls for Israel to be dealt with before Iran.

Seconded. If Israel was properly policed then Iran would have no impetus to develop nuclear arms.

Israel has been favoured by the "one rule for the rich another for the poor" maxim for too long.

Brazil is glad everyone is taking note, that it just isn't Iran what has intent to have a nuclear program or of those who have it already, like Isreal

i hate to say it but wait until the pro-Israelis dicover this thread
no doubt they'lle be banging on about how we always pick on Israel and that we need to discuss something else, but if they didn't give us something to pick on then we wouldn't.....

and you have the full backing of the KSA. hopefully, with god's will, China will veto any UN resolution designed to punish Iran. Until Israel is dealt with, the UN cannot look forward to other nations.
Japan wholeheartedly agrees with the United Kingdom's stance and requests that the issue of Iran's nuclear program be referred to the Security Council as quickly as possible, for the UN Security Council's official response to be considered.
