Hey, I may have written in this thread before. Not sure...

Anyway, I'm in Year 10 and I've chosen French, Spanish, Greek and History. My first exam is the maths one in November (the 9th, I think). Anyone else doing this?
    Hello :hi:

Oooh, Greek . Very interesting. Are you enjoying it?

I think I have some sort of Maths exam in November Not entirely sure though.

In other news, I HAVE RATS! They're little black hooded babies, and they are so sweet! I'd post pictures, but I don't think everyone else shares my enthusiasm for rats

Gaahhh... don't mention homework :sigh: *toddles off to do an essay about the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones*

I absolutely adore it (It's Classical Greek by the way). I only did Latin in Year 7 and I had to choose subjects in Year 9 and I didn't want to do anything like Art or DT so I was left with choosing Greek and it was one of the best decisions in my life. There are only 3 people in my class now but it is my favourite subject (except for English which is the main reason I go to school).

And I started my maths revision yesterday and everybody seems really shocked but I felt like I need a month to revise and I'm spending a week in Spain on an exchange so I felt like I should start revision.

And got any other pets LTC?

    2 Netherland Dwarf Rabbits

9 Chickens (it's kinda hard to explain. Two of them are officially mine, and live in my garden, but the other seven don't really belong to me. To be honest they don't belong to anyone though, and I go after school and on weekends to clean and feed them, so if I had to choose who they belong to it would be me )

and I'm getting 2 more rats at some point (it's best to have more than 2, because if one of a pair dies the other will be lonely. It's best to have a gap of a few months between rats though, so that you don't have loads of rats getting old/ ill/ dying at one time, so we're waiting until Christmas at the earliest to get another two

    [/rambling about rats]

What about you, Cynical? Do you have any pets?

And update regarding my work experience; I've received an automated email from the woman I emailed, saying that she's away right now and that she'll be back on Tuesday. Thing is, I need to hand my form back on Tuesday . Assuming that she accepts me and replies to my email straight away, I'll be able to go and get the forms filled in on Wednesday, to hand my form in on Thursday at the earliest. What to do??

It's private so it is quite posh but not like really posh or anything. It's not one of those really traditional schools though.

Oh cool! Sounds fun haha, and I have dog (Shi tzu/labrador cross thingy) and some fish. Had ferrets but one died and the other ran away.

And bookworm, I figured from the class of 3 ;P Plus Greek and Latin and stuff.

Yeah, there are only 50 in our year. We all had to do Latin in Year 7. I loved it but I couldn't keep it and take French and Spanish so I had to give it up. Regret it now

Ooooh I'd love to have ferrets (although to be honest I'd love to have pretty much any animal ) but I don't think the rabbits would like them very much

The woman who we picked up the rats from (they're rescues) had ferrets too

Me: How long do ferrets live fo-
Mum: No, you can't have any!

    She knows me too well

    Your dog sounds gorgeous

Great! Ethics has been a let down though I prefer Philosophy (I'm expected an A). Do you know if my predicted grade philosophy is the same as ethics because we haven't been given any grades in ethics?

Hmmmm so you do Ethics and Philosophy as seperate lessons?

If that's the case, I doubt it. You'll probably be given predicted grades in a couple of weeks /months time

Really regretting choosing GCSE German, I love the culture but word order and tenses are so hard .
And I also have a Maths test in November. I think it's Edexcel Maths B Higher Unit 1, on Statistics? I will probably start revising it tomorrow. Anyone bought any of those CGP books yet? I'm terrible at making notes so it might be useful.

I've bought a few from charity shops  most of them have barely been used.

It was nice to find out today that I don't have my Maths exam until March. :L Set 1 has their's in November. It's probably really easy for them though and they already know stuff so don't really need to learn much, it's probably all revision for them. Whilst it'd be nice to be better at maths, it's nice to have the exam postponed a slight bit. :L

I think it's January when I have my unit 1's for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I'm quite scared about them. For science I've been predicted A*AA and I don't want to disappoint. It's probably better than being under-predicted like I have been in most subjects. It's quite insane how bad they've predicted me. It's like in Spanish and French I'm predicted D's when I got A*'s last year. I'd probably expect a little higher after getting those results last year...

You're lucky, our whole year have to do maths in November. I have the three sciences in January too, are you on AQA? I don't have too many exams this year though
