Good luck then , London is a pretty big place! - I think I would prefer to stay in Manchester... More use to the city and I like Manchester's Physics department.
I don't want to stay home

I'm really pleased that I was able to suss out by myself how to find the coordinate and equation of a tangent, from a point on the tangent without any help books or anything because I realised all you had to do was put the dy/dx into the tangent formula and then the two xs can be combined into an x^2 and then you also had the y intercept given in the point and then make this equation equal the equation of the curve and cancel out all the terms and then you can find x and substitute into the equations to get y and then put the value of x into the tangent equation.
The question from the a level forum? have you attempted a C1 paper yet?

I haven't attempted a C1 paper but have had a look at one and I think I could do most of it-I do think I need some practice on Circle Theorems though but I do know that x^2+y^2=r^2.

Okay you'll need to use
(x-x1)^2 + (y-y1)^2 = r^2

As you'll need it to determine the centre of a circle, but its the same...

I do; I really don't like change. Going to miss high school horribly, 5 years of the same easy routine then shattered by college. But then it will be college for two years and yet again shattered, uni for I dunno 7 years (If I actually do go on to do a PhD) and then I probably stay at the uni so all will be well!

Well then they'll reject us before the interview but we still have the interview we're a partnership with them, all the way from Cardiff! No one chooses to apply there anyway, a girl went last year, she got A*A*A*Aa ... And she went to study earth sciences...
So in reality...
SHOCK HORROR.
You'll just get rejected anyway, unless you have good grades as well
Which is fair though, because Oxford is Oxford at the end of the day, they have HIGH standards.
Quite a few of my friends went to Oxford/Cambridge.
I think my school's sixth form has a pretty good rate for oxbridge.

I know what you mean...
Thankfully my school has a sixth form so I won't have the change, it'll be with familiar faces but still harder I guess...
Uni will be weird though... -shudder-
Im excited for it though

I'm getting two. Maths and history. I feel fairly confident but who knows?
Good luck!

Medicine and if that doesn't go to plan then pharm. Which is why I don't really mind about the prestige.
Oh Medicine...
Yeah.. well, you really need good results for that
Yeah, your school probably won't count in your favour much for medicine, there's way too much competition and if there is someone with A* across the board from a grammar/private they would accept them over you if you got lower.
Just work hard, because for most uni's you need really good results for medicine, very hard to get onto so you have to be towards the top.

Im going for medicine as well, pretty much everyone from my school applies for medicine and law :L , several at oxbridge, and our GCSE percent thing is 100%...
THE PRESSURE!
lol, good luck.

Although I agree witg disliking change I feel I need it and want to be independent... Also Cardiff doesn't offer Chemical Engineering and I cannot be bothered commuting somewhere everyday... So

Oh well, Oxford is inferior to the likes of Cambridge I'll be applying there not Oxford but yeah, they won't accept **** grades, but they will choose us over a private school if we had the same grades... In theory anyway...

I know how it works, this wasn't a personal thing, I'm just saying.

Our percentage without English and Maths is like 92% but including is like 43% , dreadful really. We have well over 2000 students, so the few like G&T students in the school, well we just get the short straw. I know off 2 Med applicants from our Sixth Formers, the majority probably only want to go to college.
Quite sad really, I don't even know of any grammar schools in my area except for an all girls one. But yeah.

Not necessarily; it depends on the quality of work experience/interview etc. rather than what school you go to.
