Change course after yr 1

I am going to start Yr 1 of a 4 year BA course in september. I was just wondering, if next year I decide to change university and course, would i still be eligible for student finance? and if so, till when?

I would want to change from a 4 yr physics course in Leeds to a 3 year language course in london...

Everyone is entitled to the length of their course + 1 year - any previous years of study. So if you drop change course after 1 year, you will still get funding for the entire length of the new course.

You would have to pay the new £9000 fees if you change course next year though.

We have it here on TSR:

The above poster is correct though. You'd be eligible for full funding during your language course.
