An interesting blog with some good commentary. I like that theres obviously a very personal and emotive feel to it. A blogs always more interesting to read when the emotion of the writer comes out in it.

My blog (see sig) is also a place for venting and rants, although less about the environment and more about society, politcs etc.

I have a blog too! It's mostly clothes and some photography stuff, so might not be too relevant to people who have already posted :/ It's fairly new too. But feel free to even look at it (in signature)

I'm tempted to get WordPress, but how easy is it to use?
It's very easy to use, and allows for blog creation that looks like actual websites, if you look at mine wordsformwindows.com thats made using the free account (: I just bought the domain name for the year through wordpress which was only like $16, so whatever that is in english monies aha.

BlogSpot then Wordpress then Tumblr in my opinion

Myself I use both Blogspot and Wordpress simultaneously just to broaden my potential viewers. If I was you I would use both, if you are going to choose one choose Blogspot

I have also checked and followed everybodies blogs

I use Tumblr because I think it's better for photo-centred blogs, whereas Wordpress and Blogger are better for more 'wordy' ones. Although I'm not that experienced

PS - My blog - fashion and some other stuff - here

Just wondering, do you guys run your blogs for fun or to make money out of them to pay for uni stuff?
I make mine for fun, and to promote my YouTube channel a little bit more. It also gives me something to do so it's an ok hobby, if in the future though, I make a few quid from it so be it

    ---

Back on topic, I'm going to try and add an affiliates box on the home page of my blog, when I get it working I'll repost here, then any body who is interested can message me and we can trade links over our blogs to give each other a bit more traffic

    EDIT:

Yeah I can now add links to other blogs on my blog front page, so feel free to message me or reply to this thread if you are interested in sharing links.

Wordpress is the best blog platform online, its the most widely used and has by far a lot more functionality then the others.

It runs on php, which in turn runs on Linux, Linux is free to install on servers, thats why php has more resources online for learning it because everyone is using it.

If your a serious blogger and want to get to grips with any blog platform then wordpress is the way to go.

So do you think it's a good idea to do identical blogs on multiple platforms to get more audience? Or is that a bit weird..?

It may be a bit weird, but I do it :P And when I checked my Blogspots stats a lot of traffic comes from my wordpress. My Blogspot has roughly double the amount of views that the WP has
