Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsI rang up a couple hours ago to ask (because i'm trying to organise flights, and wanted to be sure i've been fully accepted before I book!) and they said they should be emailing/sending out letters in the next couple weeks(Original post by rowasil1)
Anyone else's been changed? I'm still waiting. Also, has anyone got any information through on accommodation? I thought we might get an email about applying...

I received the same reply as Nareen, that my CAS would be processed "towards the end of June." -
Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsHi! Yes there is(Original post by LexxieK)
Future class mates! Is there a 2012 BM4 group?

Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsI was thinking exactly the same and no, I haven't had my status updated either(Original post by Glia)
Has anyone's status been updated, or anyone receive their CAS yet? We're three days away from the end of June and I still haven't heard anything. Still have to apply for a student visa :-S.

FYI, I called in and apparently the admissions office hasn't heard back from occupational health yet. The lady on the phone is estimating another week, but she did mention that they hear back in batches - so when each of us get their CAS # depends on which batch we're in. From when the admissions office hears back to when they email you a CAS# is approx. 24-48hs. -
Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsI bought mt flight ticket that will leave Toronto on the 21st of Sept - this is because all the halls I've applied to have a move-in date of the 22nd/23rd. Let's see what happens with the whole CAS # business... We need to start prepping for our visas!(Original post by nareen9)

Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 Applicants
Hello!
I am restarting BM5 (had to pull out this year due to illness so have been off since christmas *sigh*) in October. Just wanted to say hi to all the BM5 offer holders!
Don't expect to hear much from Uni for ages. Maybe your injections list and halls etc but it is pretty quiet until Sept. -
Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsWould you recommend buying any books? I am on the BM4.(Original post by BethaneyJ)

Re: Southampton Medical School 2012 ApplicantsNope. Definitely not yet. The lecturers will tell you what books you need but topics come and go so quick it's muuuch cheaper to just take them out of the library. When you're paying £40 a book and you use it for 4 months it is a bit heartbreaking. I like having a general anat and phys book but thats just me(Original post by LexxieK)

I don't need a CAS# but am still waiting on the status update. Hopefully it won't be too long...

That's possible too apparently.
