A* in CCEA History

We've just started studying "Clash of Ideologiesn in Europe 1900-2000."

Just looking for some general tips for achieving the A* at A-Level that i need to study History at my top choice uni.

We've just been given an essay to do entitled regarding the success/failure of russian foreign policy under Nicholas II and want to really impress my teacher as its the first piece of work i give in.

We have a reading list and Ive already gotten out a few books to complement my essays but in terms of historians own theories of a particular theme ive found the internet to be a inhospitable. Any ideas?

Btw i got 182/200 in AS History with 84/100 in Germany paper 1 and 98/100 in Russia paper 2 if it helps.
