Are there really 30000 undergrads?

I was astonished to see these figures. Are there really this many undergraduates at the Uni or is this to do with international numbers? That's the same number as Manchester. I understand Nottingham has become an international institution.

I doubt it. I think total students at all campuses (campi?) numbers around 50,000.

I think there are around 30,000 students in total (though I remember hearing this number bandied about when I started in 2004). This is on the basis that there are approx 6000 first years (3000 of whom live in catered halls) so if we extrapolate that figure, it would suggest that 30,000 must include postgrad students.

There are around 33,000 students at the UK campuses. 24% of those are postgrads.
Together with Trent, it's over 60000. (this is from the Council figures)
