Discursive Essay; Sources for a essay

Hey! I have posted reccently on ideas on a discursive essays, I have decided to settle on "There should be more importance on children learning foreign langauges"

Wanted to ask, if anyone had opinions on if this is a good idea, or too cliched. I like the topic itself , beacuse i love learning langauges and also a speaker of 2 different langauges.

What i am worried about is the essay question, it doesn't sound very dramatic, snazzy or interesting so i am worried it may bore a marker before they have even started! :frown:

Also, i am struggling to find stats and figures to support my points, it seems like climbing a mountain trying to find statistics for this topic. Got any ideas
where i can find stats for my essay.

ANy suggestions or opinions on this topic is welcome , beacuse this is the first essay i am doing in Higher English, and due soon.

What stats you want depends on what your arguments are on either side. So what are your arguments? I think if it's done well it would be quite an interesting essay as I think children being taught foreign languages is becoming more important.
