    Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Anyone else hyped for this movie? I've been trying to avoid googling much more than the trailers so I dont find out who it was >.<
But I know where I will be on the 16th, for sure.

I've seen the ad twice and have no idea what it's about.

But am also excited for going, for the actors and the 'feel' and the style of it all

Yes, really looking forward to it. I like period pieces and I've heard nothing but good things about the book. The cast is superb; Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt, Toby Jones, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch and Ciarán Hinds.

If it's good, it will have a big presence at the Oscars.

It was being filmed at Lincoln's Inn fields next to the LSE.

Thankfully get to see it on Wednesday and can't wait. Such a great cast and it might end up being one of the year's best. Belated Oscar for Oldman hopefully.

My boyfriend is really hyped for it... I haven't heard much about it apart from what he's said (I prefer to keep the suspense with films and even try to avoid trailers if I can), and it's one of my dad's favourite books, so I'm off to see it on the 16th... I hope it's good!

Book was awesome, hope this bucks the trend of film adaptations being significantly worse than their book counterparts.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Haven't been this interested in a film from its trailer since Inception. I hope it's as good. I'll probably see it on the 18th.

I've seen the trailer a few times, and can I be honest? It looks sort of boring. That's probably very judgemental of me though. I've not read the book. Is it some sort of thriller or something?

Seeing it on the 16th, it has one of the best trailers I've seen. I'm curious to see Gary Oldman's take on Smiley; reading the reviews, he looks set for an Academy Award nomination.

He has not won any 'big' awards for his acting has he? He's a consistently good actor.

No he hasn't, he's been nominated quite a lot for the smaller awards, but has never been nominated for an Oscar (I guess that's because quite a few of the films he's been in haven't done his acting abilities justice). Hopefully that'll change with Tinker, from watching a few of the clips he looks like he could give Alec Guiness a run for his money...

So what is everyones opinion on it?

I went to see it on the 16th and thought it was excellent! I thought every part was played really well and that there was enough intensity in the film to detract from the fact that it's a thriller with not much action (which I thought might be a bit off putting for some people, but I didn't mind).
Anyway, I thought 2 hours was about right to see the story through and I'm planning on dragging a few uni mates to go and see it again

I've already seen it, pretty confusing at first if like me you didn't read the book, but SO beautifully composed. I thought they did a great job of of blending gorgeous cinematography and bitter realism.
