THE ENQUIRER AND APPLICANT PORTAL (EAP)
What is it?
The Enquirer and Applicant Portal is a facility through which the University can communicate with
enquirers and applicants to the University (and them with us!) When appropriate, it will direct new
students to complete a number of pre-registration tasks appropriate to their own particular
circumstances. The Portal will enhance the student experience by allowing students to undertake
these tasks towards registration prior to arrival at the University.
What can students do through the Portal?
Students will be able to undertake the following steps (depending on their personal circumstances):
1. Confirm personal and course information (and complete registration if part-time or
distance learners)
2. Upload passport photo for pre-arrival production of their Ucard
3. Upload a copy of passport and visa information (if necessary)
4. Upload sponsor letter (if appropriate)
5. Complete their Financial Declaration
6. Read information on choosing modules
7. Pay tuition fees in advance
8. Upload bank details to aid student finance/bursary assistance
9. Obtain a University computer account*
10. Complete on-line questionnaire towards registration with the University Health Service
11. See information on the Students’ Union events and activities
* Departments will then be able to communicate with students via University email addresses.
When will Students be asked to engage with the Portal?
When a student record rolls forward from Admissions to Registration, students will be sent an email
with a link to the Portal, asking them to set up a username and password for use in the Portal. For
the bulk of students this is expected to be w/c 5
th
September 2011.

If you receive queries from students experiencing problems using the Portal or enquiring about
when they will be able to undertake any of the above tasks, please guide them to:
