LSE Government and Economics advice needed
I want to apply for Government & Economics at LSE and PPE at Oxford and elsewhere, so I was wondering:
    1) Are my grades decent enough for LSE, especially the politics and maths grade?
    2) Will LSE mind that my personal statement contains a bit on philosophy as its not part of the course I'm applying for?
    3) Is it worth remarking my politics paper, bearing in mind if I lose 6 UMS, the overall grade could go down to a B?

    GCSE: 9A*s
    AS Levels: 4As
    Economics: 182/200 - A* Prediction
    History: 174/200 - A* Prediction
    Maths: 256/300 - A Prediction
    Politics: 166/200 - A* Prediction - however this includes a B in one module 2 UMS off an A

    1) Yes, they are, I think. The Economics element of the course is really quantitative though, so I would strongly urge you to do Maths to A2 level. I know LSE requested all my modular scores for my Maths A level (and none of the others), so that showed to me that they give particular weight to it.

    2) The Government and Economics course does/can include quite a bit of "political theory" which is effectively political philosophy, so I cannot imagine it'll particularly disadvantage you by discussing it. Try to do it in terms of political philosophy though, perhaps, rather than anything more abstract.

    3) I wouldn't bother...

No, I would say they are all very good. Make sure you put everything into the personal statement as well, though.
