Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

optional modules.. which ones?

Hi all,
I have a list of talks I can attend for optional modules..

Criminology - my first choice
Art / Visual Arts
History / American Studies
Welsh
Social Policy – Sociology and Public Services
English (Including English Literature and Creative Writing)
Education - a most likely choice
Careers (Mentoring, Careers and Work Project)
Law
Accounting
Business

I'm wondering if these are stand alone subjects or if they are indeed linked to psychology? sounds a bit dim I know.. :confused:

Which ones would you recommend ?

I'm thinking a definate is Criminology, possibly education, possibly law and Social Policy. I'm hoping to add Welsh as I'm a very 'novice' welsh speaker. Not sure what Careers would be..

Is this for a first year psychology student? I'm taking an education paper... its focused more on congitive development and language however, so it suits Psychology really well. Education is quite a broad topic so its hard to say whether your module would be helpful without seeing a description.

Criminology may involve a fair bit of psychology, however it will have a broader perspective than looking at just why individuals commit crimes.

I'll highlight the ones I have an interest in now and see what grabs me on the day.. could be in a lot of power point presentations on tuesday next week! lol
