Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?I'd only be doing it to go to an appointment for another sixth form, but if I had to stay at my current school, would it look bad? I would be missing my last lesson.

Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?Oh, I plan to explain the situation at the front desk when I arrive in the morning.(Original post by nmudz_009)
You shudnt reli leave without telling anyone. -
Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?I don't see why not. Your head of year may be a little annoyed that she may have to take you off the register if you decide to enroll at the other 6th form tho, when someone else who wanted to enroll at your school decided to go elsewhere bcoz there were no more places.(Original post by najinaji)

your in sixth form get out of this routine of what the school thinks acceptable
just tell them you an not turn up for last lesson
if asked why say its private(not snottily)
then go
as your in sixth form you don't actually need to turn up to any of your lessons -

Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?Maybe. I'm hoping that some other kid would take my place if I were to transfer because they applied late like I did for the other sixth form.(Original post by nmudz_009)

It's mostly the fact that it's the first day which is making me feel nervous, as I feel like I might be making a bad impression instantly...? -

Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?Thank you! I'm glad most people don't think it's that bad... I thought I'd get a worse response.(Original post by kerily)
Since you have a legitimate reason, I don't see the problem. Just explain it to that teacher. Maybe say that it's an appointment with a doctor/dentist if you don't want to let on that you might be going elsewhere. -
Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form?If it's anything like my school the OP will just get the magic glass of water, wait a bit and be sent back to class.(Original post by Kronic)
Just tell them you feel ill. -
Re: Is it acceptable to leave early on the first day of sixth form? Then he should just say he still feels ill and leave. There's no legal requirment for him to attend his 6th form.(Original post by davidmarsh01)
