Re: Where y'all applying to for 2012?
I'm from Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Applying for chemistry at uni of Aberdeen, uni of Edinburgh, uni of Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt uni and St. Andrews uni
I was rejected by Edinburgh and St. Andrews. And got conditionals from the other three.
I'm torn between Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde, they both seem to have a good (comparable) chemistry department. I've visited both universities and I liked both. So I really don't know which university to choose.
Strathclyde has lower requirements which I'm definately able to meet, so I could put them as insurance. But I think I might prefer Strathclyde over Heriot-Watt.. Does anyone know which uni is better? -
Re: Where y'all applying to for 2012?I think both are just as good with the course to be completely honest.(Original post by KiaraMarissa)

Heriot Watt is a much much nicer place to be though

Re: Where y'all applying to for 2012?Why do you find Heriot-Watt to be a nicer place to be? Because I don't really like how far away from Edinburgh it is. I guess the buildings are a more modern and slightly prettier.(Original post by Inlineadam)

Re: Where y'all applying to for 2012?Because of the location but mainly the place in general - Lovely open green areas full of ponds, trees, plants playing fields etc!(Original post by KiaraMarissa)

It's 20 Minutes by bus to Edinburgh, and the buses go from the uni all day and night for about a quid or two. It's also about 30 minutes from glasgow - so for me that seems ideal.
Personal preference really
Also at Newcastle (Geog & Planning), Southampton (Population & Geography), UWE (Geog) and Keele (Geog)
