God knows. I'm just crazy. I only need something like 65% on this report :mmm: but I'm aiming for 75-80%. Just formulated my own statistical framework to make it all fancy and clever. I have no idea what I'm doing but it looks good :borat:

    Fingers crossed!

Aim high, innit! :awesome: Get you, being all original and creative! (Me jelly :ninja:) But seriously, good luck with that you crazy, crazy person!

How long do you get to write your dissertation? Do you recommend that I start my dissertation in the summer holiday of first year? (I require a first)

Is it better to take exam based or coursework based modules in the 3rd year?

I'm currently thinking about taking all coursework based modules, however I'm not sure if it will be a wise decision.

Anyone know of a good Harvard referencing guide?

Basically, I reference someone's article at the start of a paragraph, in the normal way of Name (Year). But then a sentence or two later I refer back to that article, without having referenced anyone else or talked about anything else in between. Must I put the year again, or is saying something along the lines of: Additionally, Name asserts this and blah blah, which is blah. That said, his claim is somewhat valid given the general assumption of blah.

    Is something like that alright?

    Thanks

I'd say that was fine. I would only reference it again if I'd referenced something inbetween or if it wasn't immediately obvious that you're still referring to the same article.

I am still up working on my lit review. This is not good. Still, roughly a thousand words to go - I can do it by morning hopefully! Everything else is pretty much done and pretty much of submittable quality, it's just the lit review which is taking so long.

Search your computer for a .asd file, if its still on your system and is recoverable it'll be in that format. You can open .asd files in Microsoft Word so it should be as you left it.

They give slow a new meaning. By the time they reply I will have finished like 92% of my degree :cookie:

My supervisor just e-mailed back with feedback. Recommended a few bits n bobs to add in..such as 'write recommendations as a paragraph, rather than bullet point' Nothing major but I'll need another 2-3 days to polish it off

On the whole she said its very good, which takes pressure off a bit :^_^:

Can slowly see light at the end of the tunnel..:moon:
