Reasonable hotels near university?

Hi, I am coming up for the open day on Oct 8th and will be travelling up the day before. Can anyone suggest a reasonable hotel within walking distance of the uni?

I saw Etap hotel has an offer of 18 pounds at the moment. It's not on the doorstep of the university, but shouldn't take more than about 20 mins to walk. Hope it helps.

Of the proper hotels, the Radisson in the Light is fairly close and is decent. There's a Travelodge on Vicar Lane which is cheap, but it will not give you a great impression of the city.
