Why are countries such as china, Malaysia and Thailand specialising in manufactured goods?
Because they spent loads of money on investment, cheaper workers allow for large companies to spend loads on machinery, can make massive factories. Lower working conditions needed so less money and attention needs to be put there and can all just be into extreme efficiency through production lines, strict product control (with consequences if you do it wrong), less regulation in general.
