Re: LDR chat thread VIII
Oh heck.
Just got a text from one of my housemates (Dave). He is now going our with Victoria. Who happens to be my other housemate's (Danny's) ex girlfriend - they went out in first year and broke up after 6 months, then went out again this year, and again split up after 6 months, just before summer. Both breakups invoked a very heartbroken Danny
I did kinda see this happening, but am not looking forward to the aftermath when Danny finds out. I'd like to think that he'll be find, but I fear that it'll totally mess up the dynamic of our house. I'm really close to both of them, it'll be really difficult if I get stuck in between.
It's also going to potentially make socializing very awkward as we're all part of the same friendship group. -
Re: LDR chat thread VIII
So you live with both Dave and Danny? That could be awkward, sorry

Especially when V starts coming around a lot. I think you shouldn't get stuck in the middle at all, just be nice to everyone. But maybe talk to Dave and tell him that they only broke up a bit ago (3 months is not really much) and that you would think it nicer if V doesn't come around the whole time right away, but they kinda ease into it. It probably wouldn't help Danny if he sees his ex in her PJs the first day he gets back or whatever. -
Re: LDR chat thread VIII
I'm literally only typing this as revenge for my roommate right now who AGAIN at 4 am stumbled in and sat on her laptop for over an hour... this is probably like the 5th day in a row i've been woken up by her and i'm (excuse my french) ****ing sick of it. So now its my turn to wake her up hitting my keys pretty much as hard as i can!!! I'm fed up of being the broken record who tells her to turn her damn laptop off every night it actually sucks!!!! I shouldn't have to keep saying it!! I'd never do something like that if i came in while she was asleep so why is it ok for her to do it to me?? urghhh /rant.

When are they going to tell Danny? I think they need to asap! -

Re: LDR chat thread VIIIyeh so im in the process of making as much noise as is human possible right now! doesnt show any sign of settling down and i've had enough of going to sleep knowing im not going to get a decent nights sleep! Every night i pray itll be different, but it never does. Whether its 20 mins or over an hour, she turns it on and sits typing to her bf every night and its not fair and i dont know what to do! I have to keep living here while i look for a new flat but this is all stressing me out so much i cant even eat anymore!! The boy is so so worried about me and i hate that im worrying him when hes off to uni today for his first day!!(Original post by *Interrobang*)

Re: LDR chat thread VIIIdamn i couldnt rate that... but if she goes out tonight thats my plan(Original post by SpiritedAway)
Jelly - continue to tell her. If she does it again, start setting alarms for like, 7am. And even when you're awake, press the snooze button
i like this plan
Can't wait to move out of here! -

Re: LDR chat thread VIIIWhen I live(d) with my noisey housemates I knew they wouldnt wake up until like 2pm, so if the'd p'd me off with their loud noises etc late at night i'd turn my music on full at roughly 9am, and continue to play it loud. When i'd had enough of that i'd go into the kitchen, make a noise, watch loud TV...then head out around 1 and slam the doors.(Original post by Jellybean91)

Re: LDR chat thread VIII
Something needs to be done Jelly! I'd try the alarm idea. I generally find it really hard to sleep if I can hear noises (even people breathing deeply!) so I definitely empathise!
I've got a day off from uni today and trying to do some reading for maths and I'm dying of boredom. I hate note writing, think I'm gonna start photocopying all my readings and just underlining them.
Plus for English I have to make my own picture book to share next lesson
I'm not liking this piece of h/w at all. I told my parents and my dad went "you're going to be a teacher, what do you expect", I was like "well teachers don't WRITE all the books for their class, they read them to the children!". Ahhhhhh. Lack of imagination.

Re: LDR chat thread VIII
My brakes cut out today as I was driving 70 mph down the motorway on the way to work. I'm now sat at work trying to cover a last-minute sickness (on the locum bank this week) so I'm mega stressed and now I'm in the position of having to call out my breakdown people to come and get me and then go to a garage and try to work out what's wrong with the car. Apart from the danger aspect of it, I just don't have the money to fix it so I'm seriously freaking out. Argh!!!!
