Hi  I've applied to Falmouth too and am on step 4. I got that same letter about a week and a half before Christmas and have heard nothing since so I guess it is just a waiting game with them.

Eventually got the chance to send my work in the day after I contacted them! Haha, and now I'm happy to say I have an interview on 28th  They were originally my first choice but I'm stuck between Falmouth and Cumbria at the moment. Not sure which one to choose if I'm offered places :s-smilie:

Hmmm, I probably got the email a similar time to you. I'd email them now if I were you just to check, if you haven't got an email saying what they're expecting you to send in and mention that you need to have sent it within two weeks then maybe you don't need to have done anything as of yet. I'd email just to make sure if I were you really.

Thanks! Emailed them and the following day got told to send work, well, PROJECTS in haha. And now happy to say I have an interview there on 28th

somebody help please! I've been asked to write 500 words to go with one of my online portfolios, I've managed to write 460 words and i am completely stuck, how strict do you think they will be with meeting the word count, would it matter if it was 20-40 words under? this has ended up being nearly as long as my personal statement!!

Hi everyone, just wondering for those who applied to ECA Photography, did you include any artwork, paintings, drawings etc in your mini portfolio? I included just photography but now I'm wondering if I should have broadened to fine art?

Hey, I applied last year for a year in advance, to start in 2012, first year entry, stating that I aim to specialise in photography. My mini portfolio was made up of mostly photography, but also included - snapshots of my sketch book work, an installation, 'paintings' stenciled with spray paint (I don't think my painting is up to scratch , clothing and dress design and a bit of sculpture work - think thats it. I just think they want to see something a bit different with variety, reason being that I applied whilst still in my final year of school with below entry requirements & still got in on my folio, so I think if you have a broad range of work it helps a lot  x

I focused on Photography, but I also uploaded some collages and doodles (I can't call them "drawings" lol).

I'm currently going crazy waiting for (hopefully) an interview invitation from Falmouth for BA Photography to land on my door mat... Is everyone else still waiting after sending off their online portfolios?

I'd go with casual, but you might want to check out the LCF thread - some applicants seem to be more concerned about their accessories choices than grades. :P I wouldn't wear something that is not my style, I'd feel ridiculous.

Oh God, I hate having phone conversations whether it's in my native language or in English. Don't worry, just try and focus really hard on what they're saying (you can always ask for repeating the question and mention the bad international connection ).

I think it depends where you're going usually go smart casual just to play it safe but at most interviews a load of people just turn up in jeans.

Got a letter from Nottingham Trent and they want to interview me. Mine's on 7th March. I sent my powerpoint thing off last Friday so a week or so. Have you got an interview for there?
