Good to meet you too Drummit! I saw you 'grooving' it large towards the end! I would try and bring your own food next time. Another friend of mine had a bag full, and the paid her no attention.
A lady near me had brought her own food too. I always feel that I will get caught though. Might give it a try on Sunday although a lunchtime pizza might just be the ticket.

Really nice man on security moved me to the head of his queue because I was wearing a pink t-shirt & scarf - said he liked pink! Poor girl that I'd walked in with got the full body scan & bag-search treatment at the nextdoor station.

Always try to 'groove it' large

Very apt to start page 500 just after the first stadium rehearsal finished.

There's a nice piece on someone from DB's team in the Liverpool Echo today. My favourite quote is:
“The sheep we’ve hired are very well used to big occasions apparently,” says Frank wryly. “They’re RADA sheep. We’ve got geese and horses too. The geese are great – I’ve met their agent!”

Signed off work for another week and off to physio later this morning......knee is making some progress
We had two people on crutches yesterday, and they gave their everything, even though it was visibly difficult for them to keep up. That's the spirit!

Not impressed by the packed food - I don't eat cereal bars & I can't bear salad in sandwiches!.
ah - so the reported meals make an appearance. Guess it is tough to cater for all. Will be good to hear how strict they do end up being. Perhaps we could make up a bizarre food intolerance in case queried!

Upgraded understudy reporting for duty (and for updating of the amazing spreadsheet) ;-) yay!
    Wooohoooooo! So happy for you!

Your countdown is starting to make me feel nervous, Flakey! It makes it visibly real!
I know. It seems like no time ago that it was up in the 90s!

Wow - 10000 posts. Who'd have thought it back in November!

Drumbeat actually makes the noise, she only needs to endure my face. I fear she won't be amused, hope Neom and her colleagues (the black bib equivalents) draw enough attention to themselves. Well, no doubt they will!

BTW, stadium rehearsees, please applaud the workmen when they leave the field just before the rehearsals start - I fear we've set a standard, and they enjoy it!
Well unfortunally i am on the other side of the stadium to the royal box so will leave the drummers there to show off!!!

Daughter has her first 1 : 1 on Sunday and she is in 65TP - closing ceremony. Lots in that section too from what I understand as well as children.
She will be driving too - so hopeful to pick up any stragglers from the tube station as she will be coming in alone from a family 80th party in Suffolk.

I think it may be the 51s amongst others. there's quite a bit of confusion on this as they seemed to tell us tonight that the Sunday rehearsal is at 1:1 despite the paperwork saying stadium. I have no doubt they will email us to clarify the situation. But if we do get moved, it will kick beer and pizza into touch for Sunday.

The purple laces worked wonders tonight, though like DancerWoman I'm terrible at remembering names. But hey, we'll be hanging out together for the next few months, so plenty of time to get to know each other outside this virtual place!
    hi Rocker
I did notice your laces as you are quite close to me but didn't get chance to say hi will do next time.

Re the packed food - I do have genuine food allergies - wonder if I should tell them?
I fully intend to have some goodies stashed away and always have a pack of Dextrosol too.

Getting so excited about getting into the stadium next Thursday......great to hear the stories of those already in there.

Great news of the recent offers and how exciting its all sounding. Almost starting to get a little depressed wondering what will happen when its all over
glad to hear you are on the mend, the stadium will rock you when you first get inside.
I also feel the same about being depressed after all the Olympics, but will just enjoy every minute of it.

Ah sorry, misunderstanding. There was just too much to take in yesterday!
RocKerG, I was the one who briefly said hi when we were returning things. We'll no doubt meet again.

V V loud sound system....they should have told us about those HUGE base speakers on the floor before asking us to walk around...then telling us not to stand near them....beware !

Do tell them EG. I have allergies and am also a picky/faddy eater so decided to go for a safe option and tell them I'm vegetarian - I emailed and my details were changed for catering purposes. Me too, always have my Dextrosol with me!!

    Stadium tonight. Exciting!

Anyone who has been in already - can we take any edible things in or not? Thanks.

Also, I'm veggie - who do I tell or do they have mixed meals available?

Has anyone had any success in a response from casting about problems with food intolerances etc? Is one allowed to take in one's own food/ non-caffeinated tea bags in such circumstances? I don't fancy going a whole day doing hard physical work and being hungry. What about sweets/ dextrosol etc. - are they allowed in?

really!? I loved the recall, Some of the things we did, looked hilarious, especially when we were doing the shoals of fish, i had so much fun! I went home, knowing that even if i did not make it into the show, having attended the recall was a fantastic and inspiring experience in itself. A thought that kept me going all those months!

Now, that you say the recall made sense, I am even more excited. Is it worthwile taking a notebook with me and to make notes about what we are doing, so I won't forget until the next rehearsal?

OMG, I think I am suffering a bout of VPO (Volunteer Performer Overexcitement)
Ah well, if you like shoaling....
We did so much of that in our 1st few rehearsals that we were all like 'never again!', but we've pretty much got it down pat now.

You won't need a notebook. There's not lots of choreography, it's mostly timing and that will just come from doing it again and again and we are all very interdependent on one another. All will become clear...
