Regarding footwear, I would wear comfortable shoes that you can happily walk in for a while. No specific need to be trainers though (I wore my boots and didn't have any issues)

Mandy - yep excited for the Dagenham weekend extravaganza.

Biting my nails at the moment trying to get games tickets. Hate the system that drags out the wait so long only to tell you the tickets are not there after all. Unfortunately can't call from work so have to go the long route. 5 mins to go for my diving final tickets. Wanted artistic gym but have settled for going to the Internationals on the 2nd June instead - get to see much more and only £8 a ticket. Anyone else going??

I too have ben trying for hockey and rowing this morning without luck - despite waiting for 15 minutes each time until no ticket message appears. Have had tickets though in past from Danish and German sites which very straightforward.

Alrighty... meanwhile everything's finally come together nicely for me and I've got confirmation of a professional role in the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Woohoo!

I'm not going to reveal the segment number right now although I think it's higher than any that have been quoted here. But, as someone who used to re-watch a Betamax tape of the LA 1984 opening ceremony and listened to Radio 5 via dial-up internet at three in the morning from New Zealand when London's winning bid was announced in 2005, this really is a dream come true. I love the Olympics and now I'm going to be in the Opening Ceremony? Amazing. I'm so proud to be there with so many of you.

HI glad we spoke I did try to find you again but with so many people about not easy. will look out for you on sat although with 1000 drummers will not be easy.
