Just received an email saying that they have been inundated with emails about the accreditation (1000 in 24hrs) that we will all be contacted as and when ours is ready......just as well for me as not mobile at the moment anyway!!!

Yup - got that too. And it confirms that normal Ceremonies pass will be enough for the Stadium until 16 July.

And we might finally get our TBA times in the next week which would be good. Although given Ceremonies' sense of time, I won't hold my breath. Theirs is even more skewed than TFL.

yup!! Would like to know timings so I can plan a bit before I start to panic at potentially very late journeys home for several days, head to head!!

So 42 days to go - was very tempted to just post a picture of Douglas Adams but this one still has a nod to him...

I had an extra big grin when I pulled off my raffle ticket from my countdown skewer to see the number 42. I'm a huge sci-fi fan and next week we're going to see HHGTTG by the original radio cast at the theatre for part 1 of husband's birthday. Was looking forward to seeing what you picked for 42 and yay for the HH ref!

    ours end at midnight!
The times given were estimates i think but... we've also got to be in at 10... LOOOOOONG days ahead!

group 47 might be able to help you out if you decide to sleep at the stadium
If you were at 1:1 last saturday in the afternoon then i know exactly what you were on about because i saw it as we were leaving and i think it'd be an amazng idea to get people that can't get home togerther to join you. Not that they'd let us sleep there, but it would be wicked! =]

That will be awesome! I'd have loved to see it. I <3 HHGTTG; rereading it rarely gets old which reminds me, my old battered copies are probably due an outing. But yes, there's no way I could have done a 42 without a HH reference!

    Hey - congrats! I have you and Ropey1's other half in 99 Ball A. And I have 4 in 99 BALL B - annag2012, danielthompson, murphy'smum and s.10.

It's been a busy couple of days for results given the recent drought of them. I wonder if that's a result of what some were saying about there being no more reserve to understudy call-ups in some of the segments who are fairly advanced in rehearsals. Perhaps if people were on reserve lists for those specific segments but haven't yet been used, they're now moving them into other Para segments that space.

Para Closing still looks a bit light though... we've only got 3 from TSR whereas we have 40 in Para Opening and 14 in both Para Ceremonies (plus the Olympic 41s who decide to double up)

Today worked with Rio Hanover team since the last audition So far they are very well organised and i shared of many volunteer's bitter experience from main olympics who has not heard for several months. In front of me they were constantly calling people who has been auditioned for dance to inform of their offers. Right now the team is focusing on dance offers and then drummers thereafter.

there's 3 dress rehearsals isn't there... surely they'll need an audience for all of them? fingers crosses we can have more tickets!
I soooo much would like the opportunity of tickets for the dress rehearsals. If they can stretch to 3 tickets that would be grand - lovely jovely. Probably asking too much here Doesn't the Stadium take 80K? Maybe family tickets? We volunteers who are not in the opening may (hopefully) be in luck in terms of tickets, eh?

Fingers crossed for you. I do not know which dates of audition they are offering now. But do know that they are doing a periodic manner of audition dates.

Can't believe it. After all this waiting and then giving up I've just been offered an understudy role in para closing. All rehearsals seem to be in about a 2 week period but now I've booked a holiday and accepted a wedding invitation right in those 2 weeks. If I went and cancelled things I still don't have the assurance of getting off the understudy list and getting a place. What on earth do I do? If they'd offered me the para opening it would have been much simpler. I'd love to hear from the spreadsheet guru as to how many understudies have and have not been successful in getting upgraded. Sorry don't mean to sound negative but after waiting so long with no word since February - I have 3 children and had to make some decisions and now I'm in such a dilemma. So torn between opportunity of a lifetime and family. Ahhh words or wisdom please fellow tsr members.

Tough choice, seadiver. Not sure what to tell you; it will be experience of a lifetime but it does depend on what else you've committed too and how expensive it might be to get out of them. The fact you aren't dismissing it out of hand suggests that you do want to do it.

It's difficult to answer the question on who has been promoted since I'm not sure everyone who has been upgraded to cast has reported back. Anyhow... I have 19 reserves (including you) on my list although so far all for the Olympics rather than Paras. 5 have definitely been promoted and I suspect a couple of others have too (jimbo23? timefortea?). But most haven't posted since they put the news of their offer up so that may not be a true reflection.

For those with lots of rehearsals under their belt - what's your take on how many understudies are now 'cast'?

Thx flakeydom - any info helps. Must say, husband is being brilliant and looking at flights for me to come back for the rehearsals and then fly back to the holiday. All sounds a bit crazy really. I need to give it some thought. Anyway - what on earth do you think 110-TRUCK is?

Well in my Segment I know of 2 Understudies who this past rehearsal have both been issued with full Cast Status so it's possible to be promoted from Understudy. It's just a matter of time and patience.

are understudies not allowed to miss 2 rehearsals too? would that not get you out of trouble, just let your cast co-ordinators know now, that you have a holiday and won't be around on x date etc?
