AQA A2 Biol4 January 2012 pre- exam discussion

We've done an ISA but I'm being quite critical and saying 50/60 UMS.
So, that takes me to 368 UMS/460 which I believe is just over 80% A.
Do you guys think it's worth resitting unit 2 in June? I think that would be easier for me to pick up at least a few more UMS marks bring it to a B which will boost my AS grade up to an A. So I can perhaps get a B on unit 5 and have an A overall.


Well if you don't resit anything you could get an A overall provided you get 112/140 in unit 5 which is exactly an A. Resitting unit 2 is also helpful for the synoptic essay in unit 5 but be careful not neglect unit 5 prep too as its quite a large unit.

I got AABC, which I'm quite disappointed about.
Maths A
Spanish A
Chemistry B 235 UMS
Biology C 209 UMS

Do you think that it's worth getting a recheck on both the biology and the chemistry? as I'm only 1 UMS mark away from a B and 5 from an A in chemistry.

I'm a re-sit applicant, so I'm re-sitting BIOL1 and BIOL4 in Jan 2013; they're only a few days apart, IIRC.

How did you get so high in the ISA, any tips?
I have gone through the whole unit 2 course.
and now im just slowly revising each chapter.
a little bit at a time.
how hard in unit 4 biology?
Just been looking at the past papers online - I think I'm going to fail.
