Dress for James Bond Themed event

Hi,

I'm going to a charity ball and the theme is James Bond. This isn't really 'fancy dress' most of those who will be attending will be members of the business community (read as you will) so I do need to look classy.

Does anybody have any recommendations?
I'm dark skinned, 5"6ish and slim build (size 6-8 depending on the fit), not busty...
Pleaseeeee go as Odd Job

Go as Jill Masterton?

You could turn up and collapse on the dance floor for the entire thing.

Unless by business you mean

in which case you want to be as slutty as possible. I'd recommend Plenty O'Toole in that case.

I appreciate the input but really..looking for some genuine answers- which part of it's not a fancy dress party is difficult ?

What's not genuine about my answer - you wanted a James Bond girl look, this is the classic.

I also explained the context in which it would be worn...
Depends on what kind of look you want. You could go either:

Or more floaty...

Whichever look you find most comfortable.
Vesper Lynd dress from Casino Royale.

^ This. Now all you need is a thigh gun-holster and you're a bond girl

Phew, is it hot in here, or is it just me? :K:

By coincidence, that was going to be the very look that I think the OP should model herself on; classy, elegant yet still with sex appeal. I wasn't quite prepared for it when scrolling down the thread though....

If it isn't fancy dress and it's James Bond themed... then that means it is just a party where men wear suits and women wear nice dresses.

What is the point of making it a themed party at all!

was the first thing I thought of.

was the second thing I thought of (but only by a few miliseconds)

meanwhile in real life - well it's going to be dinnerjackets for the boys and cocktail dresses for the girls isn't it?

can't you just go into the cocktail dress shop and say 'please give me a size 8 (or whatever)' Solved!
