Panasonic TC-P42C2 is a low entry plasma TV featuring 720p resolution. While the resolution is inferior to 1080p models, image quality is not bad, and quite good considering that this 42 inch plasma TV is a budget wise solution for people that do not care about spending thousands of dollars on a new HDTV. Launched in 2010, Panasonic TC-P42C2 still has good levels of blacks and accurate colors, although the connectivity options you will encounter on this model are nothing more than basic.
I purchased a Samsung LN32A450 32-in. wide TV less than two years ago. Last year, when it was a month out of service, it started to develop a dark smear going down the length of the screen. I tried to clean it, but the smear is on the INSIDE of the monitor! I called Samsung, I was told tough luck, its your problem. I urge everyone to call their executive customer relations number. This is supposedly the high level number to escalate a defective Samsung TV.
