BioFurMatPhyStudent Goes To University!
Ahoy hoy! This is BioFurMatPhyStudent Spoiler:I'm going to be studying Human Bioscience at Coventry University. I'm living at home and commuting by train, so I guess late night fresher events aren't going to be possible. Anyhow, I don't drink, smoke or take drugs. I can barely manage consuming caffeine as more than 2-3 glasses of coke turn me into twitchy idiot.Show
Or known as C to a few people

I've done some work over the summer but I feel that I've grown to be very lazy over this time. :couch potato: I wrote an essay for The University of Birmingham titled "Are Mitochondria really just symbiotic bacteria" so hopefully when it come to writing my first essay I won't be too confused about referencing and researching etc.
I really hope you all enjoy reading my blog. I hope I get to meet lots of nice people during freshers week. I'm guessing that if you're reading this then you probably already know that I'm gay. Well, it can get rather lonely. I haven't come out to many people yet so I hope that I can use this opportunity to make a fresh start and meet some other lgbt people. That's going to be interesting.
I'm going to Cov tomorrow to pay my tuition fees so I'll probably update then. I'm not very good at this so please forgive my poor spelling/ grammar since I'm very tired and want to go and watch QI.
Good night everyone! -

Re: BioFurMatPhyStudent Goes To University!
Ahoy!
Well today I went to Coventry to pay my fees. I also got my Student ID card aka "Phoenix Card" and NUS card, which will now entitle me to discount which I will never use! What a wonderful world we live in.
I also got my train season ticket, it cost over £250 but fortunately due to a strange series of talks with my mother she has paid for it instead.
I went really early but it only opened at 10 so I had to wait a while to sort everything out. I had my photo taken for my ID and NUS card and... well, at least it looks better than my provisional driving licence photo.Spoiler:There was a massive queue, but one of the student ambassadors took me straight into the room. I didn't even realise that there was a queue to get in!ShowOne eye's smaller than the other.

I saw an old friend from my secondary school while I was there and we went to The Hub, a £32m building for socialising and studying that has just been finished, to get a NUS card. The room we had to go in was full of balloons and my mother stepped on one, it burst. Anyway, my friend is going to be studying a similar subject as me so we will both be in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. We've both known each other for about 7 years and have been in nearly all the same classes throughout school, not to mention both members of the prefect team.Spoiler:So I guess we're going to end up seeing more of each other which may be predictably awkward at freshers fair joining the LGBT soc.ShowShe was Senior Prefect and I was Head GirlSpoiler:ShowHonest, I'm a nerd.

I'm going to wrap it up here. I'll leave you with the message that you should appreciate that your mothers social ineptitude is surely not as bad as mine.Spoiler:ShowAfter getting refreshments and starting to eat them, a senior midwifery lecturer came up to us and had a chat. During the whole conversation my mother kept spitting at her.
Thanks for reading, I hope my infinitesimal life can bring enjoyment to your lives. And again, I apologise in advance to everyone for any spelling/ grammar errors. I'm studying Science, not English. These very words will most likely make me cringe in a few years time at all the idiotic detritus I've just written.
tl;dr I'm really looking forward to starting Monday!

Re: BioFurMatPhyStudent Goes To University!
First Day!

I feel really tired so I'm not going to drone on as I normally do. I felt really nervous this morning and I got to the welcome meeting very early so I stood outside and ended up talking to some other students, who are really nice by the way, and we now have formed a little group.
I didn't have a chance to go to the freshers fair but it's on tomorrow so hopefully I can go then. I got my timetable and I have Wednesdays free and a few tuesdays off too for this semester. The sports and societies fair is on Wednesday though so I'm still going to have to go in. I have a english and maths test tomorrow... fun.

Just act like it's nothing.
"Why are you joining the LGBT society?"
"I'm gay, didn't you know? I thought everyone did"

Spoiler:ShowI'll have to bring some sunglasses.
It'll look like CSI.
That's really great advice. Sorry I can't rep you.
Today I still didn't go to the freshers fair.
I don't think I missed much though. I'm looking forward to the Sports and Society fair tomorrow!
I don't have anything else on tomorrow which is just as well as I'm really knackered. Also, I have to write a mini-essay for thursday, by hand. I hope they don't have graphologists.
I'm going to buy most of my books tomorrow for this semester. It'll cost about £200.
I just added a friend on my course and found out she has the same birthday as me!
