How's Nottingham's night-life?

a FAQ i guess, but im a physics applicant for 2012 wondering where else to apply, and nottingham is high up in the tables, and a nice AAA offer. I went to the open day, of which the department was great, but the SU didnt blow me over.

But what's a standard night like? Do you stay on campus or go to the city, or is the latter only saved for once a fortnight goings out? What sort of clubs are there, and is it safe and cheap? How do you get to town, and back again?

City. Loads of clubs to suit all tastes; student nights most nights, and the bigger SU-organised club nights have free buses between campus and town. Otherwise you can just get a taxi - £6 or so, which split between 4 or 5 of you is cheaper than a bus.

Notts is an amazing nightout - not too expensive but still good enough quality :smile:

There is a decent venue pretty much every night of the week, you can't go wrong you'll love it :smile:
