It is a great course, my friend did it and she is now living in wellington NZ and working on tropical sponge ecology near hawai! Bangor has the best reputation for marine bio courses

I've applied for 2012 zoology/animal behaviour I've been quite a few times and its really remote but quirky and really peaceful - with a lot of hill walking though!! Good luck with your application

Applied for the marine biology course at Bangor, but they've given me a pretty weird offer though. I've yet to look at the Uni though, relying on them inviting me to a visit day to be perfectly honest

Well they've offered me 320 points, including my AS. That basically makes it 260 points needed from my A2's, but they've also said they want two of the grades to be AB. That leaves my third grade as an E, basically. Probably not all that strange, just seems weird that they're essentially asking for ABE

    Hello everyone!

I got an unconditional offer to study Marine Biology/Zoology at Bangor this year, and was wondering if anyone knew the ranking of the university in comparison to all other universities offering marine biology in the UK or in the world?

Also, are there any current students out there that can share with me how life at Bangor University is, and the level of security on the campus?

Hope to hear from you guys really soon

    Thank you!

Hey, I have a conditional offer for 300 points from Bangor to do marine biology/zoology and I've put it as my firm choice has anyone else put Bangor and this course as their firm choice?

I have a sightly different course (zoology with conservation) but I'm guessing we may well have similar lectures? I deffered my entry, so I'm definitely going to Bangor in sept

I have an unconditional (gap year) for zoology with conservation so we'll probably have some lectures together?

i've applied for bangor as my insurance for zoology, but it's looking like i'm more likely to go there as my firm choice is pretty high (swansea). don't really mind though- both unis are pretty much the same in my eyes as far as accommodation, travel opportunities, atmosphere etc.
