Welcome to the Bangor University forum: where prospective and current students can discuss everything about Bangor and find out what happened in the Octagon last night.

Re: marine biology/zoology 2012!
Well they've offered me 320 points, including my AS. That basically makes it 260 points needed from my A2's, but they've also said they want two of the grades to be AB. That leaves my third grade as an E, basically. Probably not all that strange, just seems weird that they're essentially asking for ABE

Re: marine biology/zoology 2012!
Hello everyone!
I got an unconditional offer to study Marine Biology/Zoology at Bangor this year, and was wondering if anyone knew the ranking of the university in comparison to all other universities offering marine biology in the UK or in the world?
Also, are there any current students out there that can share with me how life at Bangor University is, and the level of security on the campus?
Hope to hear from you guys really soon
Thank you! -
Re: marine biology/zoology 2012!I have a sightly different course (zoology with conservation) but I'm guessing we may well have similar lectures?(Original post by b3kah25)
Hey, I have a conditional offer for 300 points from Bangor to do marine biology/zoology and I've put it as my firm choice

Re: marine biology/zoology 2012!
i've applied for bangor as my insurance for zoology, but it's looking like i'm more likely to go there as my firm choice is pretty high (swansea). don't really mind though- both unis are pretty much the same in my eyes as far as accommodation, travel opportunities, atmosphere etc.
I've been quite a few times and its really remote but quirky and really peaceful - with a lot of hill walking though!! Good luck with your application
