Re: worst trends at the momentGrey cardigans can look brilliant on a guy.(Original post by quattro94)
I agree entirely with everything except the cardigans. I can pull off black cardigans and they look pretty decent but any colour than blue or black is getting into dodgy territory unless you are 30+ -
Re: worst trends at the momentHaving bad skin isn't the reason for wearing foundation though, it's to make skin better by evening the tone and hiding any flaws. Even if you have clear skin, it looks better with foundation. The last part is a myth, make-up isn't bad for skin. Providing you have a good skincare routine your skin will be fine.(Original post by neverlander¾)
My mum always says that teenagers wearing foundation are ridiculous as they a) don't need it since the skin is still young b) foundation is bad for the skin.

Re: worst trends at the momentWell, the point is that young pretty faces don't have any flaws. Ok, usually(Original post by LipstickKisses)

I actually don't like foundation as I touch my face a lot and I end up having greasy hands at the end of the day. Plus, I don't think my skin look better with foundation...on the contrary really. So my choice is more of a personal choice than one of principle. -
Re: worst trends at the momentNot flaws, but spots of redness, not complete even pigmentation, slight veins, things that everyone has. And that's because you're using the wrong colour or wrong type for your skin, if you set it right and get the right shade, it will look good...each to their own though.(Original post by neverlander¾)

Re: worst trends at the momentI believe you but, well, I'd rather keep my face fresh. But that's just me(Original post by LipstickKisses)

Re: worst trends at the moment
Hot pink too short velour tracksuit bottoms with words like 'Stunner' across the bum.
Carrot trousers, make you look and walk like you've taken a massive dump.
Harem pants.
Lonsdale in general (not really a recent trend, but it's so hideously chavy it's worth a mention.)

Re: worst trends at the moment
I hate uggs, jack wills, anything with the brand plastered all over it (hollister, a&f), topshop (pretty dire quality often as well), hotpants without tights, suspender tights with shorts, leggings with crop tops, 'geek' glasses, those black suedey wedges which everyone seems to have, girls who wear lace tops to reveal their bras and then a wear short bodycon skirt with it, florals (if they're boring florals), t-shirts with obnoxious phrases on.... i could go on..

Re: worst trends at the moment
It seems a lot of the hate in this thread is for the trends that are common with people disliking them for this reason, claiming people are being 'try hards' etc. May I just point out that although people may be making an effort to be mainstream, you're making just as much effort, if not more, to NOT be mainstream.

Re: worst trends at the moment
I don't know about fashion, but the latest trend concerning Facebook photos is that f***ing head tilt girls do! Brush hair on one side, raise eyebrows, pull a sociopathic empty smile (which somehow girls do this thing that creates dimples which they don't normally have), boom the eyes then bend neck sideways. WHY?! Everyone does that same pose? And it'll be of them in their 'going out' clothes, with boobs thrusted towards camera, shoulders pinned back and hand on hip. It just strikes me as weird how girls can see pics of others on Facebook, and strike the exact same pose while out?? Why do they want to pull the sane stupid pose as everyone?! Bloody head tilt...

Re: worst trends at the momentCan you just stop whinging about 'chavs'? Every single post(Original post by IB_19)
Oh gosh, so many! I've noticed a lot of girls shaving parts of their hair over the last few months, it looks awful. Also, I know it has been mentioned a lot on this site recently, but the use of leggings as trousers and when people cannot dress very well. Another is those vile fakenails in a very bright colour. Not particularly a trend, but for some reason the chavvy girls in my sixth form do it. There are many more too, but I am a bit too tired to be listing them. (A cop out, I know!).

Re: worst trends at the moment
people that wear cheap watches that look expensive. avoid watches until you can afford something worth owning.
and those stupid lace tops with the cleavage 'V', guaranteed to see at least a handful of people wearing the exact same topLast edited by crazyjoyce; 16-10-2011 at 13:40.
Almost every contestant on the X Factor had this if you want proof for how wrong it is
