I don't listen to hip hop like most people do, i.e. to hear lyrics, skill, flow, charisma etc. As well as that, I listen to it because I can relate to it and Joe saved my life, so that's why I always talk about him the way I do. Check the OP. It was about sharing his story and letting people know about him.

That's not to say that he can't rap circles against 95% of rappers though.

So after however many months of posting news and youtube videos of anything pertaining to Joe Budden, I have decided to create this thread where I'll be posting good news and videos (both interviews and music so no 'Pornostar') regularly so I'm not shoving it into peoples' faces in the Hip Hop Society thread.

I'm not getting into 'who's the best rapper' debates anymore because it's all subjective really and I don't even care. Hopefully, this thread will help people to appreciate him for his music.

He's the rawest, most controversial and truthful rapper and I think it's only fair for him to have his story heard. He's also the most relatable. If you've ever had problems with family, friends, depression etc, i.e. issues that affects nearly everyone then you'll probably be affected by his lyrics. I'll be posting these as well as his punchline songs.

Coming from being a homeless dusthead (PCP addict) to his group being signed to Eminem, so as lame as it may sound, he's my inspiration to do better.

You can discuss him if you want and I'll probably participate, but this isn't a thread where I'm glorifying him (well I guess I am doing that, but it's more that I want him to be heard because he doesn't have the fanbase that he deserves here). I'll also be the first to admit his faults as a rapper.

Aside from 'Pump it Up', this is possibly his most famous song given that it was on the Def Jam video game. You're missing out if you a) never played the game and/or b) you've not heard the song.

But 'Pray for Me' is an excellent song. He does have some good music.

Yeah, still alive. It's just he's more on twitter than on music which is annoying, but he does have an EP coming up with Big Krit, Emilio Rojas, Kendrick Lamar, Z Ro, Blu and a few others coming out for free.

Meh, the lyrics have already been posted so I might as well post a youtube to Joe Budden's 'Inception'. It's got good punchlines, and the only reason why he does the 'I don't think they're ready... virgin', 'let's warm it up... microwave' etc type punchline is because that was when those sorts of lines were popping off and he was mimicing everyone else doing those and showing that he's better than most in punchlines that he doesn't usually do.
