The Democractic People's Republic of Korea and I both agree that this is a good idea, although I only take orders from Il himself.

Hmm, as far as new observers/organisations go (that can be represented by a single member in the same format as we currently have), what have we came up with?:

    The American Israel Lobby
    Greenpeace
    Oxfam
    Energy Lobby

EarthLab could be a useful opponent to the more radical ideas of Greenpeace.

An interesting one is Stop1984. I'm not sure how successful it would be (and the name is perhaps not ideal compared to the others), but it could definitely be vocal on a fair few matters. The organisation itself was disbanded in 2008, though.

Would we be required to go through the process of a resolution if we wanted to award observer/UNO status to any of these organisations?

(realised I didn't actually quote you before, and it seems to be a bit dodgy on alerting when quotes are edited in afterwards.)

I think out of those ones the American Israel one would be the most popular!..followed by Greenpeace

Yes I think the best method as far as I'm aware is to have a proposal put forward in the form of a resolution. It goes to debate and then to vote.
The only thing I am unsure of at the moment is whether it would be in character or not. The charter states that any proposal that is made which looks to make changes to the workings of the MUN itself should be out of character. However as far as adding UNO's is concerned I'm not yet sure if it falls into said catergory. I must look into it.

I would think that it would fall under the same category as accepting Palestine would have (as far as the GA is concerned), so IC. We would be creating new observers, not UN organisations so strictly speaking we aren't actually changing the UN itself.

If need be, we could always have an OOC vote on a charter amendment to lay down the framework to allow new observers.
