Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!exactly the same...still hungry(Original post by Alt__x)
A banana 7/10. I love bananas, but I'm very hungry and could do with something more filling.

Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!Hmm. I've never noticed the difference to be honest, but fair enough.(Original post by superturtle)
Putting bread in the fridge makes it go stale faster!
The thing is that when bread goes stale, it doesn't so much go stale via chemical reactions as many foods do, but rather via something physical that happens to starch. Starch tends to crystallize at cool temperatures, and this process, sometimes called "retrogradation," happens about six times faster at refrigerator temperatures than at room temperature. Loss of water also speeds up this process, so you want to keep bread in a container that stops moisture from escaping.
I feel clever! hahaha

Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!Spotted in the offers cabinet at Mozza's eh?
I made a similar speculative investment this weekend. I hadn't come across the word ganache before and previously, I would have ventured that it was some kind of provocative hairstyle or perhaps a school of French drama.
It turned out that it actually means the-nicest-smoothest-chocolate-mousse-you-will-ever-eat-in-your-cream-puff.
When I were a lad goo meant a disgusting gloopily textured substance. Glad the spell change and consequent rebranding made this **** so goddamn tasty. -

Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!
i had a weightwatchers rich chocolate dessert thingy, it didnt taste bad but it didnt really taste of chocolate at all, it was just brown gloop in a small pot, so probably a 2/10.
i then had one of the cupcakes i made - vanilla cupcake with pink buttercream and sprinkles, very tasty, more than made up for the chocolate thing and would probably be a 9/10. -
Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!
Oh, and prior to that, I had a lovely healthy dinner of NEW KELLOGGS MINI MAX! (Chocolate Variety). They're a mixture of the consistency of Mini Shredded Wheats and Shreddies, but they're chocolate AND half-frosted.
Oh yeah, baby. Perhaps too sweet to have too much of though. Very good but in moderation... 7/10.

Birdseye Rice Fusions: Egg fried rice with peas - 8/10. I was quite impressed.

Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!A mere 3mins in the microwave, and the below stats don't look too bad, per bag.(Original post by Alexandra1234567)

Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!
Smarties Cornetto. 1/10.
WHY? Because LOOK. FOR F***'* SAKE. ONLY TO ME could this kind of crap happen.

No Ice cream whatsoever. Thankfully it's a box of six, and the next one was fine (and so I hope the ice-creamless one was a single anomaly).... -
Re: Food and Drink: Time to Rate, the Last Thing Ye Ate!
Ouch, Toto. Wel I know its supposed to have ice cream in it but I would not mind having just the choco covered cone.

Last thing I ate;

6/10. They have improved the recipes of their frozen meals alot and the mac n' cheese is pretty good. However because its flash frozen, more often than not, meals with noodles end up having some of the noodles get freeze burned which makes them tough and leathery even after cooking. And this goes for many of the Boston Market meals actually.
Now at an actual Boston Market restaurant, where you can get fresh cooked..whole different ballgame. Most of the foods from there would get 9/10 or 10/10
