    *Fingers crossed*
Honestly this whole waiting process is pure torture. I have become unhealthily attached to my LSE tracker and Yahoo mail accounts
Ditto! January seems soooo far away!

DONE! I just applied for Msc MEdia and Communications. I SO wanna
I am worried that the reputation of my current uni... and that because of that I won't stand a chance. (london met)
I got really good grades at the moment so I must try anyway.
Anyone got their 4th email yet?
How long did it took for you?

    Hi all,

anyone applying for Media & Communications because I am (the Governance stream)?

I am expecting a first, but it all depends on my finals, I was told I have an aggregate average of 69.92 so it's really a borderline case.

Does LSE look at A levels for Masters applicants? My 'A' levels is dead mediocre. haha

Also, what are the chances of getting a scholarship? Is the personal statement a deciding factor or what?

    I hail from Singapore, btw.
I am applying foe Media and communication too. My grades so far: 68.5% overall, like you I am hoping for a first but this is very borderline!

The fourth email took over a month to arrive but at the time they were having technical glitches, usually it comes within ten days

The worst part is the LSE promo e-mails they send... constantly!

Every time I see something pop up on my iPhone from "@lse....." my heart skips a beat! I keep getting e-mails about "not applied yet for LSE...?" and "have you filled in open day feedback?". It's really not good for my health all these frights!

When I went to the open evening, I spoke to someone in the Gender Dept (where I'm applying for), and she said they were starting to read apps that week. She said that the department contacted individuals usually within the next week or so- and they'd let you know before the university officially does. That conversation was held on November 3rd.... so I'm hoping for a response sooner rather than later.

I had a sillilar feedback at the open evening. I have been told that the first answer would come before Christmas and that they will start looking at applications in the following week.

oh and btw guys if anyone here could spare a minute and fill up this survey it would be great. It is really short and part of a Uni project. I am struggling to get enough answers so I might try and post it here too https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HYPKGWZ

Really?! Wow.. That is great, but that did not happen for me last year when I got accepted. Does that maybe only apply to those who attended the graduate opening evening? Well, anyway, hoping for an answer as soon as possible here also from the Accounting department!

Wow, that would be awesome if that were to happen. Last year I applied the first day it opened up, and heard of my acceptance January 14th. I would be thrilled with a decision before Christmas! Nobody contacted me from the department before I found out through graduate admissions though, I was told that was not allowed... weird, but would be great if it were true! Hope everyone hears ASAP

hehe yep, waited basically 3 months last time after applying the 1st possible day in Oct, so hoping for a quicker turn around this time Seems silly to me that all is filtered through GA when the departments could just send our acceptances/rejections directly.. seems like it would be much faster to me!

But then the whole point of the application process will be lost which is torturing prospective students as much as possible. I bet some ppl even do a Britney now and then :P

I have to say, when I wrote my initial response on this thread, I was thinking "wow, it's really nice to speak to some stressed out, over thinking, LSE obsessives like myself..." Ha! The problem is I don't know anyone who is applying to LSE, so no-one really gets it when I try and explain it to them.

Just this minute submitted my Graduate Financial Support Scheme pleading statement of 1000 words. That's it, it's all in now.
