کاغذ*پران باز <--- What does this mean? (Dari?)

It's supposedly the Dari (I think?) title for The Kite Runner, but Google Translate is saying something that makes no sense (as usual). Does anyone speak/know this language so they can translate it? I mean, is it literally "The Kite Runner", or something else?

Also, is Farsi the same as Persian? And am I right in thinking Dari is the dialect of Farsi spoken in Afghanistan?

Hope someone can help

EDIT: I don't know why there's an asterisk in the title, I can't make it go away...hope that doesn't make it too hard to read.

Surely someone on here must know? Please? :frown:
Well this - کاغذ - means 'paper' (ka-ghaz), so in this sense it could also mean a kite.

Hope that helps, lol.

Haha, well thanks, at least that's something. Hopefully someone else will have something to add.
