Re: The UCAS 2012 Decision ThreadProbably because you're asking in the wrong thread. This one is supposed to be for decisions only.(Original post by Soph.Jade)
What does it mean when a University withdraws my application on my behalf? can i add another choice?
Why have I been given a negative rating for this???
It'd be best if you just asked the university - ring them up or write them an email. Sounds a bit weird that they withdraw it on your behalf! -
Re: The UCAS 2012 Decision Thread
Application sent: 12/12/11 (added it later)
Uni: Dundee
Course: MA English with Film
Decision [Offer/Rejection]: Conditional
Offer Grades: ABBB (Highers with the A in English)
Date Offer Received: 31/01/12
Reaction: OMG! Somebody wants me
Application sent: 30/10/11
Uni: Stirling
Course: BA English with Journalism
Decision [Offer/Rejection]: Conditional
Offer Grades: BBBB (Highers including English)
Date Offer Received: 01/03/12
Reaction: Wow! Another offer!
(I was still nervous for my Napier interview though)
Application sent: 30/10/11
Uni: Napier
Course: BA Journalism
Decision [Offer/Rejection]: Conditional
Offer Grades: BBBB (Highers including English)
Date Offer Received: 20/03/12 (Though I was told at the interview on the 8th)
Reaction: At the interview I just looked at the interviewer in astonishment. I then burst out laughing at the train station on the way home. When I got home I began to worry that maybe she meant "if" I got an offer and not that I definitely got one, so when it came through on UCAS it was mostly joy-filled relief.
I firmed Napier because their course is accredited and has contracts with the BBC and STV. There wasn't much point in taking an insurance since the other ones had the same/higher entry requirements. -
Re: The UCAS 2012 Decision Thread(Original post by DarwinsDevotee)
Application sent: 14th October
Uni: University of Bristol
Course: Zoology/Biology
Decision [Offer/Rejection]: Conditional
Offer Grades: DDD at Extended Diploma and Grade C at GCSE maths retake
Date Offer Received: 28th February
Reaction: OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I honestly hugged strangers who were luckily lovely and jumped with me. I then cried in the toilet as I was doing Maths revision at college.
I left school at 14, have no science GCSEs and failed Maths but am retaking and on track for A*.. so to have got to this point is amazing, and it feels so much better because I have worked so hard to get here. I now feel like I can take over the world and this is by far the best day of my life and the greatest news ever. I am ecstatic and unbelievably grateful! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Congrats, what is your diploma in and did you have any A-levels/work exp with it?
)
Much lower than standard offer as well so well chuffed!
