It is with great sadness that I can confirm to all members that the Baltic Partnership has become defunct in its role and will be officially disbanded. A newer more informal grouping will perhaps be established within the European Union but as of today this unique voice for Baltic and Nordic nations has been silenced.

The MHoC echoes these comments and will work on an amendment later today to incorporate this bloc into the EU bloc. We hope that Latvia will continue to spearhead the efforts of this bloc and we will be suggesting that Latvia be given a role of responsibility in this bloc.

Latvia welcomes the support from the MHoC who have been influential and a catalyst in the discussion and growth of this bloc since it joined. Latvia welcomes the support for a future role but would first look to securing a distinct and strong voice for Nordic and Baltic states in a improved EU.

The MHoC thanks Latvia for her support and we assure Latvia that the Nordic and Baltic states will have a strong voice in the MHoC.
