Wait, what? There's an equestrian club?! Whooah. Count me in

In other news I'm staying in Edinburgh to look about & I've fallen in love with it here.

Yeah, there's an equestrian club! The club is out in the country, and I think it's so pretty.

Sooo does everyone think that the applicants who haven't heard back yet are in some sort of pile and we may get spots depending on if other applicants who have offers decline edinburgh or not??

Erm, I applied got unconditionals from Heriot Watt, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. And I got a conditional of an A in Adv Higher Maths and a B in accounting from Strathclyde you?

There are quite a few people from my school going to Edinburgh uni so I at least know some people! haha! I can't wait for September. It's gonna be great.
Well done! I got unconditionals to glasgow twice and edinburgh and strathclyde, I got a conditional from edinburgh as i applied twice and conditional was for accounting and bus studies and unconditional at accounting and finance, conditional was an A at higher

I know lol! Btw ive had a change of mind and might actually firm edinburgh as in ed they print out lecture notes for you and in gla they dont and i think if im gonna pay for uni might as well be a better uni cos i think its way more convenient if they print notes out for you so still deciding haha im so undecisive

I asked the same thing a while back and I think someone got an email from edinburgh pretty much saying that was what was going to happen, for HSS applicants anyway.

Come to Edinburgh! It means that I will know at least two people! haha! I don't know what I'd do if I was at Glasgow and had to make my own notes. I'd end up trying to write absolutely everything down!

I wasn't in self-catered so can't really offer advice on this. There's lots of informatics people around and as someone has stated you'll meet lots of people in Appleton. If you have any general questions about anything, feel free to message me .
I will. Thank you very much I'm going to study even harder to meet the conditions, now!

Have you checked that they will actually accept an application from you at this late stage?
Edinburgh have generally had a policy in the past that all applications (including from people wanting to transfer) had to be received by the Jan 15th deadline and would be considered alongside everyone else.

It won't make any difference at all to your application that you've had an unconditional from them in the past. That was the past and for a different entry year. This is now. Plenty of people apply somewhere one year, get an offer, then apply again the following year and get a rejection. However, I hope it works out for you.
Yes I have, they said they will consider it but it is unlikely that they will give me and offer, and I know that my offer doesn't make any difference. But I do still have hope. I have done quite well in my current degree so I am hoping they might still give me an offer. Who knows?...

What I wasn't sure about is whether I can include anything from my previous statement or whether I should just write it from scratch. I have written quite a bit of it, but there are obviously many parts that are overlapping and parts that I just like from my previous one. What would you say?

    Thanks in advance

Wow, awesome grades!!! What subjects are they in? I presume you were in the first year of the A* then? Did you apply for the BSc, or the MSci?

Lol i think i actually might cos when i did higher biology in S5 our teacher went through powerpoints and we had to write stuff down but she wouldnt slow down for us so im like furiously scribbling down and then I missed everything she said and had uncomplete notes so for higher biology basically i had to learn everything from a book and past papers and i hated it cos whenever i had biology im like "time to learn" as we actually learnt nothing and i hope for my degree its not like that and i dont want to print all my notes off either as im not taking out a student loan and i would rather be given them and since im going to uni might as well go to a better one! I know lol and then miss everything the lecturer is saying! Btw how many people from your school are going to Ed? And are you friends with them?
